I just want to clear out the first rule you shared. When you take a long rest, you recover up to half of your TOTAL number of Hit Dice. So if you're a 4th level character and use 2 Hit Dice, you recover both on a long rest.

Hey folks welcome to the Comments Tavern. Take a load off and enjoy the video, and let me know your own thoughts as well as some rules your table often forgets or just chooses to ignore!

If a character cannot succeed even with a 20 or fail even with a 1; there should be no roll. Only reason I see to include such is if you want to guarantee a chance of success/failure for basically all rolls as a house rule.

Agreed, if there’s only one possible outcome then there’s no point in rolling. I don’t use a house rule for automatic successes/failures on 20/1 but I may tell a player before a roll that they’ll have to roll very high to succeed, or that they automatically succeed with their modifiers alone

Noone usually cares about weight of course :) Btw, could you please make a video with full explanation of mount mechanics. I had a game recently, where monk made 3 attacks riding a horse and our DM freaked about it. So now nobody can attack when riding a horse now XD. Thank you for your videos!

I hadn’t even thought of encumbrance! And absolutely, the next video I make will cover mounted combat

Here’s the video on mounted combat. I hope this is helpful and what you’re looking for! kzbin.info/www/bejne/sGPPnpKrj7Z6ick

You should have title cards and, preferably, timestamps in your videos (whether in the description, in your pinned comment, or best of all in the video itself which you can do now). It does a lot to make a video more consumable and accessible, and most importantly, useful as a resource (which is what you want, right?) by allowing viewers to scrobble straight to the information they're looking for (since it's empirically proven that having them does more good than bad, as viewers are more likely to just not watch a video than to sit through it waiting for the information they're interested in). The gold standard being that if Billy wants to look at how he's running Darkvision or whatever incorrectly, he should be able to tell just be scrolling through the timeline where it is in the video, especially on a phone screen. good vid tho fam 👍

Hey there if you dont mind criticism, could you speak a little slower please?
@failsflails24103 жыл бұрын
I always appreciate criticism. I usually try to talk fast because I don’t want my videos to get too long and also want to seem a little enthusiastic, but I can definitely slow it down for future videos

@@failsflails2410 your videos are good. I do agree to speak slower, not because its hard to understand but because it requires the listener to focus on the video. I thi nk many including me like to listen to D&D tips while dokng work or chores 👍
