Both are doing fine in AEW and getting paid quite well. Buddy even just recently resigned. You have to remember that, sadly, Julia is the only one within the House of Black that has marketing appeal. Don't get me wrong, fans love the House of Black members, but they don't sell a lot of merch, sadly. Malakai is still one of my favorite wrestlers, but if you watched All In the other day, Malakai, Brodie, and Buddy all showed adoration and congratulations to PAC in front of the large crowd, showing that they were more than willing to put over the UK native.

that's AEW's problem, they welcome everyone so the roster is too stacked and too much talent means management and organizing will be difficult. WWE has 1/3 the roster of AEW but has more gold talent there than in AEW, a lot of unknowns and nobodies.

No one is promised to be topstar by contract. I see it as generosity from Tony, he gives them big debut as starting investement, then its up to the wrestler to make himself work and get over. Wrestling is harsh enviroment, if you slack, you drop down to the mid/lowcard gutter. Neither Tony or Vince(now Hunter) is promising new wrestlers their spots. In both companies, they need to work hard to make themselves draw fans and money, make great alliances backstage, get into interesting angles etc. Tony is hiring almost anyone, because in that quantity of wrestlers, he assures someone will breakout and make him the money he wants, as Swerve, Mox etc.. Hunter has NXT for that, where the wrestlers have time to get over and once they are big in NXT, they progress to Raw/Smackdown, so he filters that much talent into NXT/RAW/Smackdown to make it seem you are watching less stars, but overall WWE has bigger roster combined than AEW. Tony doesnt have that luxury. So now tell me, what do you expect if you are on upper card of developmental department as NXT and then jump over to AEW that should rival RAW. You think you are automaticaly meant to be top there? Kinda foolish dont you think? And on top of that you get big debut as a start and still dont make it. Yea Tony is the bad one here sure.

For buddy, it's not even that he's not showcased, it's that he loses all the time. For black, I think he asked to not be a singles star or something of the like but that doesn't excuse his booking. I didn't watch the early aew episodes so I dont know how big of a fall swagger got. Kieth lee just makes me sad, like how do you a wrestler like that and not have push him to the moon in both companies. Miro is the same as Lee's situation but even worse since he's been there for a while as well as holding the tbs championship. John Morrison, Im just pissed they didn't call him johnny dynamite when he debuted. Imo jeff hardy bought his current situation uppon himself, i think was supposed to win the tag titles before he got the DUI. Athena is kinda the same with Miro. Paige I'm kinda neutral about. Honestly, the AEW problem is the same as the WWE one. The only different is that the AEW is probably even worse, because the roster is so fucking bloated its actually ridiculous. In WWE most of these wrestlers were just not pushed as they, and thier fans would have liked. In AEW... they just vanish of the face of planet for months at a time. Both rosters have so much talent, its not possible to have everyone on top. You can't push them all.

Not his fault that Christian is basically pulling the new MJF: recycled "edgy" promos, dull crowd work, and a group of underwhelming stooges with zero charisma between them. If you don't see that, you're blind. And hey, maybe MJF doesn't go to WWE and we get MJF 1.0 vs 2.0 at some point. Maybe even this year. Hager - No, if anything WWE over-pushed him and AEW used him in the suitable muscle/side kick role. Keith - Sadly yeah, his health and injuries have derailed every big build he's had. Sort of hard to trust building around him now. Miro - One of my greatest frustrations. The man was top 2-3 over in the company, got hurt, lost the TNT title and been barely used :( Johnny - This is just a case of he stood out in WWE, he had a name in a weak TNA, but in AEW he's an athletic older guy without mic skills in a group of more athletic younger guys. Jeff - Screwed himself and his brother by doing what he's always done sadly. Sucks as a Hardys fan. Athena - Absolutely agree. I don't get why she isn't a main feature in AEW Saraya - Hasn't kept up with the other women, got a hometown moment at All In but seems most suited to her current role. Bryan - He doesn't want to be the top guy, he's said it himself, he just wants bucket-list matches and chaos. I hope he wins the World title at All In after winning the Owen Hart Cup. The drops it at World's End to conclude his full time run as he's said.

You could also do a list of wrestlers that have done better in AEW than they did in WWE Rodderick Strong. He is pretty much the current leader of the Undisputed Kingdom and he is a champion. Christian. Lets face it the only successful run Christian had in WWE was when he was teaming with Edge. He was never really considered a top singles wrestler in WWE and they only put the World title on him after his successful run in TNA. He has had a better singles run in AEW than he did in WWE Swerve Strickland. The guy was part of a group that struggled to get up onto the main roster in WWE. In AEW he is the current world champion and getting feuds against top guys like Samoa Joe and Christian and the Elite. The Good Brothers. Lets face it they were brought in to back up AJ Styles in his feud with the Judgement day. WWE didn't know what to do with them after that. So they stuck them in NXT. At least in AEW they were on the main roster every week involved in a major storyline with the Elite.

Missing all the context around guys like Keith Lee, who has never been the same after the heart inflamation stuff (including not being cleared a bunch of his AEW time), and Danielson who is on record for not being interested in titles and wants to be building stars/talent. Then there's Saraya, who is also on record saying she isn't wanting to wrestle a whole lot. And no mention of Ruby Soho, whose use by AEW has been critical. Or Jake Haggar, who is in AEW because they're allowing him the freedom to pursue MMA at the same time... they literally can't rely on him to feature in stories since he's training and fighting. What about Mercedes Monet, who they've sort of spoiled the hype for by bringing her back too early before she could wrestle? Or Miro, who turned down creative (that's why you haven't seen him). Athena is one of the greatest heels in the industry right now! Her and Billie Starkz both belong on AEW television. Those two are absolutely incredible and a lot of people watch ROH solely for those two. Which is probably why they keep them on there.

This list is kind of silly. For most of these, it wasn't really AEW's fault. I'll give you Buddy and Malakai, but that can easily be assigned to popularity and merch sales, which neither are high on the list. Jake Hager and Johnny TV similarly are midcard talent that will never be grander than their current placement, and neither are in their prime either, which makes them both feel like enhancement talent now. Athena is more understandable, because she should be on the main AEW roster at least going for the TBS title. I like that she's killing it as ROH Women's Champ, but yeah, she should be doing more. However, Keith Lee has had not only injuries but consistent health problems while in AEW, so what can they do with that? Miro has had relational issues that ended in divorce earlier this year and has has mental health issues, so that's why he hasn't wrestled much, which is not entirely AEW's fault. Jeff Hardy was a nonstop problem in AEW, so again, what could the company do but offer him help? Saraya has been a joke since she returned, and I think AEW regrets the signing. Sure, she's had some moments, but her in-ring work and promo work since returned have been subpar at best. And what the actual hell are you talking about with Bryan Danielson? I know this video was made before All In 2024, but the man even before winning the AEW Championship has been having top-tier match after top-tier match since debuting on the brand. Amazing matches with Omega, Mox, Swerve, ZSJ, Rush, Eddie Kingston, MJF, Minoru Suzuki, Ricky Starks, Daniel Garcia, and Adam Page (TWO brilliant matches), just to name a few. He said he didn't care about winning championships when he signed with AEW, so why hold that against him? He's been killing it, and despite his constant request to not win gold, TK convinced him to headline All In 2024 and win gold anyway. Danielson is having the best run of his career, and he even said after the All In 2024 main event that it was the absolute greatest moment in his entire career. Had you put BD at 10, I'd been a little more understanding, but 1?! That's just ridiculous.

To be fair Bryan Danielson if he had wanted a championship run in AEW, he could have got it. Tony Khan considers Danielson his closest friend and listens to him. Danielson is pretty much in charge of AEW Collision. Tony Khan is in charge of Dynamite and Rampage but Khan pretty much lets Danielson run Collision. Danielson has admitted he is on his final run in wrestling and wants this chance to help others. Also working in AEW lets him work NJPW. He has had a lot of his dream matches in AEW. Omega, Okada, Omaga and Ospreay were 3 guys Danielson has wanted to wrestle for years. The rest I agree with you on apart from Jake Hager. Hager signed with AEW on the deal he would be able to do UFC. He signed knowing he would be pretty much Jericho's bodyguard. Hager and Jericho have been friends for years. It was Jericho who convinced Hager to sign with AEW. In truth the rest AEW should never have signed. Also you can add Matt Hardy to the list.

Keith Lee and Swerve were set to have a big payoff, and then it was dropped because Keith Lee couldn't compete due to injury. Injury after injury has been holding that man down. I think he had a lot of potential to be that big star but the injuries are killing his career.
