God, King and Country Wasn't the whole concept of the Revolution some kind of liberty? The republicans often critisise kings for censorship of the press. So why can't we freely sing whatever we want? Some republicans might say it is a hate speech against them. Look at la Marseillaise you stupid fucks!

+Zero Budget Noob If it helps, I don't know the particular song that you're looking for but I know of a song called "Complainte de Louis XVI", that might not be the song you're looking for but at the very least it might be similar. It's a very good song if you're not familiar with it already.

It *might* be because "Action Française" are* a monarcho-facist group, and it seems like one of their songs is on this list? *were, maybe? IDK if they still exist, I only know the name from early twentieth century history.

The video is banned because the Royalists lost the war; the Masonic revolutionaries won and succeeded in establishing their secular republic and spreading their errant ideology across France and Europe. The lyrics of these songs embody a stark rejection of the revolution itself and all the novelties the revolutionaries stood for and imposed on the people of France. It seems excessive that they would still be banned despite the outcome being settled over two centuries ago in favour of the firm establishment of a Masonic republic and people who now espouse almost exclusively Masonic values. Short of an act of God, a Catholic or monarchical restoration at this time would be far fetched. That being said, he who controls how we interpret our history controls how we view and behave in the present, thereby securing his own rule over our future. That is why these songs are still outlawed: so that a restoration of that which was unjustly usurped will never gain traction, so that there will be no question of the status quo and the values (or lack thereof) they push on the people (which would be replaced by the return of those values held by their Christian forebears).

Not a recommendation, but it should be noted the famous social historian Charles Tilly wrote a book on the socio-economic background of the Vendée region in an attempt to explain why they chose the counterrevolution.
