Great video. I was one of those who championed for Treasure Island Dizzy. It's fantastic. Yes, just one life to do everything. One mistake and it's game over. You need to be perfect. you have to get accross that water on the boat, but once you do you also need 30 gold coins. Now that's HARD. But I did eventually do it. Looking forward to playing this again in November

Another great list. I was going to mention the Dizzy franchise of games and here one is. A couple of recommendations I can think of are Super Robin Hood and Worse Things Happen at Sea. If anyone is interested but doesn't already know, a pretty fun version of Dizzy came out for the sega megadrive/genesis. Steam has a sega megadrive collection and there are fan added games in the steam workshop. Dizzy is one of the games in the workshop. Thought I'd mention it for more retro gaming, albeit a different platform.

@@YouveBeenGamed The Atari and C64 versions are very similar. For me there's just something slightly 'off' with the C64 version, and as surprising at it may sound (please excuse the pun) I prefer the audio of the Atari version. Each to their own and all that. All the different versions of Bruce Lee were great, I just enjoyed one a bit more than the others. I also had the Atari version of Amaurote. I've played the Spectrum version, and whilst I can't remember too much about it, I do know that I again preferred the sound of the Atari Version.

I'm not sure it's possible to appreciate Dizzy games as an adult with no prior experience. You have to grow up chipping away at them with none of the modern distractions and responsibilities to contend with. Point and click adventures likely killed the concept and it's hard to forget they exist now.
@PlattLineker2Pen3 ай бұрын
@dreamkatcha Totally agree. Had to chip away, frustrated as hell on some occasions. Then one person you speak to at school has that little nugget of info you need (eg.drop Axe on rope bridge) to get onto the next part. The eager anticipation on way home from school, that 6 mins to load the game seemed to take an hour. Then you're in and away, onto the next problem. Aah, brilliant. 47 years old here and I'm far too excited for November when this thing is released!! Haha
