You can “spritz” your roses (flowers) with glue/water mixture to keep them pretty for several days. (Florists use this trick all of the time🙀)❤️

We don't really get fall here in Coastal Georgia either and after all of this heat, I'm looking forward to cooler weather. I'm one of those people who skips over fall scents because the pumpkin smell especially, makes me nauseated. I prefer to go into winter scents like Fir, Spruce and scent mixes with vanilla or cinnamon in them. The wreath is gorgeous, I think I'll make one and add little pumpkins to it.

On those fall or winter berries that are made of styrofoam and they get nicked to where you see the foam, I use the coordinating color of fingernail polish to touch them up , works great

Years ago when I lived in a pretty small subdivision, we'd all sign up for an evening drop in for the month of December leading up to the 24th. Each night a home would have a nonalcoholic punch, a few types of appetizers and several sweets choices. We even started printing up recipe sheets of what we made for anyone who wanted the recipes. It really provided cheer and added to the neighborhood comraderie.

Our church ladies would get together and plan out a menu for just 1 evening of festive food before the Christmas celebration. The First Lady would serve appetizers, the second soup, the third a main, the fourth a different main, the fifth dessert. The First Lady would tag along to the 2nd, 3rd and so on, then the second to the 3rd and 4th and so on and so on until everyone was completely stuffed and happy! The following year 5 other ladies would host! It was so much fun cramming everybody into full cars of bundled up people wrapped in warm but bulky clothing. (It gets very cold in eastern Canada during winter!) No booze or coffee needed to stay warm and giggly laughing with each other while we rubbed our bellies! And each host received a lovely little gift from the entire bunch of us for going through the effort of decorating our homes just a little merrier. Then at the end of the evening we’d have a ladies vs gentleman snowball fight! Oh my, how silly we would get! 😂🤗 Our choir would also take an evening of carolling 2 weeks prior to Christmas in lieu of practice on Sunday evening! I thoroughly enjoyed it! You are such a beautiful soul Natalee!

Hi Natalie, Here is an idea for the leftover biscuit dough you had after making the leaf biscuits. So you can take the piece that is leftover separate into 3 equal size little balls and place in the 3 little balls into a cupcake pan close together and it will bake together forming a little pumpkin. I would cook them just until lightly golden, follow the package instructions for the bake time. Then when they are cool you can add for the stem you can use a pretzel like you used for the acorn but I would wait unil the biscuits are baked and for the leaf you can use parsley, green onion top, mint, basil ect. Whatever you choose will look cute. Don't forget to spray or grease the cupcake pan. You could also brush toss with butter after baking and add a little parmesan cheese . How this gives you some ideas on how to use the leftover dough. Food is so expensive I hate wasting it.

For decor items I’m placing outside, I give them a good coating of Scotchguard with sun protection, and when that dries, a light coating of a clear acrylic matte spray. Helps prolong the “life” and color of them without changing their appearance.

Such cute ideas! Esp the pumpkin napkin! You always have the best hacks. I would leave the porch pumpkins as single ones. No vinegar on natural stone or on grout. It can ruin both over time. I’m commenting as I watch… Natalee, these hacks are genius! Thank you for sharing the napkin fold. Yours is so much easier than another one I saw where she folded and ironed. It was cute, but I’m never going to do it. I use tire shine spray to refresh my plastic pots. It’s lasted 2 years in GA & those pots face western sun all day. Those pumpkins and greenery are sublime. Look for clearance for your topiary.

Natalee, i am the same way about holidays, I really don't have the energy to decorate for the seasons anymore. My kids are all grown up and moved to their own houses or apartments so there is only me and my hubby. That being said Christmas i got nuts i have about 8 Christmas trees i put up and decorate. I have a white tinsel tree that had belonged to my parents before they died in 2019. then i have a big tree with crystal, burgundy cream white and gold colours on it then there is one in the basement that has super hero's on it Avon décor pieces and my kids things they made at school when they were younger. I have two topiaries in my living room and two on the front porch flanking the door with pine cones and berries on them I used to put out my Christmas village but i don't do that anymore, but i still have them just in case i use it in the future some pieces are collector pieces. I love it when it snows on Christmas eve it just makes the magic come alive so beautiful. I live in Ontario Canada and we get tons of snow. in the last thirty years i think it we have only had a couple of Christmas's that was green but for the most part its white here. I do thanksgiving and leave the pumpkins out and the fall leaves but i don't do Hallowe'en not since my kids became teenagers. I have never been comfortable for Hallowe'en. I used to buy loads of Candy to give out but i leave my lights off now so they don't knock the door. Some still knock but i only give candy to the kids i know but i drop it off earlier in the day so their parents can give it to their kids. My Grand Daughters are 11 and coming up for 4years old and they get candy but i don't do it anymore. Celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ is what i am about and family remembering those who are no longer with us here on this earth. we exchange our gifts on Christmas morning, i know some open up their presents on Christmas eve but i only allow one present each and its always sleepwear on Christmas eve. I love Christmas time. Great video again you outdo yourself every video. So soon it will be power tool reveal next month. Natalee where has the year gone yesterday it was Covid and now we are almost at the end of August already. I swear the years go by faster every year. When i got sick i found there were a lot of toxins in every thing we use. I have a lot of health issues, Migraines, Fibromyalgia, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Arrhythmia both SVT (fast heart beat) and Bradycardia (slow heart beat) and i have just found out i am pre diabetic too, so yeah lots of problems. If you ever want to chat sometime about your illness i will be there for you sweet lady. Till the next video have a great day Natalee
