10 GHz Beacon - Leo Bodnar GPS Reference Clock as an Exciter?

The first* video in a series about my attempt to build a 10 GHz beacon. In this video I discuss evaluation of a Leo Bodnar GPS reference clock as a beacon exciter and why I decided not to use it in that application.
This is actually my second video on the beacon. The first was up for a day but has been removed after I realized I had made some big technical mistakes.

If you look up a video by TheHWcave "Using a GPS module as variable frequency reference standard" I believe he offers a detailed explanation for the source of these sorts of jitters on particular frequencies. It may be that a different DDS chip can offer a lower noise arbitrary frequency division, than whatever is used inside Leo's box.

Thanks. That is a nicely done video. Things get challenging when you are trying to generate a clean signal at a high frequency like 10 GHz. To make it worse, 10368.3 or 10368.4 MHz is going to be arbitrary to most any frequency reference. 10368 is a lot simpler and evidence of that is easy to find. There is a very limited number of units available that might work. I will test as many as my budget will allow and try to find the best solution.
