Did not want to listen to "the summer ends" today. While it used to bring comfort, it now brings me back to one of the most painful times in my life. A developing teen still unsure of what love is, or if it even exists. Making mistakes and being willing to do anything to go back and fix them. Losing people, and pieces of myself. Beautiful rendition btw.

I’m new to this style but really loving the guitar work in the songs. That Algernon Cadwallader riff is just perfect. The only thing really irritating me are these vocals many bands have with the intentional voice cracks and so on. I guess it fits the image but I don’t really like it. I would love some suggestions of albums which have “normal” vocals and these cool guitar lines.

Haha the Cranberries are my favorite band and Dolores wouldn’t have been as awesome as she was if she didn’t do the distinctive voice cracks and yodeling. I do think a lot of guy singers in math-rock bands that do the voice cracks can be pretty annoying though, but an expert like Dolores made it so cool in songs like “So cold in Ireland.”
