Finally I Removed my iCloud Lock google iremover I like some of the transitions, but sometimes they're a bit too much and are seemingly random. Since we use these persistent elements that transition across pages to indicate some kind of relationship between the previous and the next states, some of your transitions confuse me because I can't immediately see what the relationship is. For example 1:23 of the selectable tiles (which weren't selected) transition into being two switches... does that mean anything? are they related in some way? I see this as random and a bad use of the design language. However, at 3:14 I like the transition from switches to the ticks on a paper, that makes sense to me. Epic presentation

This was a very informative. I just wish I could figure out how to access my photos from iCloud only. My phone’s storage keeps filling up and all of the photos that seem like they are on my phone are not downloaded from the cloud. Because I don’t have enough space on my phone the photos won’t even download. And I can’t even airdrop them to my other devices. How do I get them out of the cloud using another one of my apple devices or my computer?

If you are watching on a laptop, you can click on the gear at the bottom of the screen and it opens a window that gives you the option to change the playback speed. Don't know if you are watching on a phone.

@johncooke1386 what I did because I am hearing disabled, is turn on the subtitles. Stop it every sentence, sometimes go backward and I took 10 pages of notes. I know this is very OLD school, but now I have the entire video written down. Yes, it took a while, but it is now in my notebook for me to refer to any time I need to review it. :) I hope this helps. Some people, if you watch this on a laptop and have PPT, you could copy and paste with your snipping tool, each frame (a lot of work, I know) and have it in PPT.

I feel like we have very different phones, I see none of which u show to delete. ProRaw and ProRes? Delete documents and data? Mine just says delete data in red so I clicked on delete and it did nothing. My phone hasn’t enough space for backups for a couple years. I can’t figure out how to fix it. Very good tutorial! Backing up my husband's iPhone photos to our mac today as he is out of storage. I have family sharing which I think backs up his photos and my photos to the same iCloud drive. Now how do we get our photos/videos that we transferred from our iphone or mac to an external to show the original date they were taken/made on the external? Every time I transfer to an external it only will show the date they were transferred to the external device and bot the original date taken. 100% agree. I assume that if we were transferring to a Mac computer it might be ok. When I transfer them to my computer they are in separate files ALL jumbled up, not at all in the order they were on my phone. It’s a mess. I don’t know why I bother, when I exit this earthly plain my kids will not be going thru my computer…

I went into my i cloud drive and it's on (green button) and my question is: my manage storage is 0 kb and my apps sent to I cloud drive is also 0. is that ok or do I need to turn something on?? I have tried to save my photos from iCloud multiple times with multiple methods. But I can never seem to keep the original date of the images. It will have the current date. Sometimes it will keep the original date of some, but not all images. Any thoughts?

From the little bits I could catch, when all this data is transferred to a PC or backed up to an NTFS or FAT external drive, in what formats is it transferred? Is it transferred to the PC in formats that can actually be USED there (i.e. jpg, png, txt, pdf, etc., formats that are recognized and accessible by a Windows PC)? Also, if you want selected ones of these "backed up" files transferred from the Windows PC back to the iPhone, can this be done? I agree with turning off the background noise. I have a hard enough time following the rapid-fire and fast talking. I would really like this information, but I can't even stop the video every couple of seconds because what I do hear is so fast, I can't even follow it.

So they removed the $7 line item upsell “cloud storage” but the price somehow did not change! Please do an in depth iMessage clearing video - some people want to keep messages for ever, but not all the attachments/ photos / video (after they save them. But apple makes it impossible to delete photos etc if you have it synced to iCloud. I have to delete photos in 3 places (iPad/ Mac/ phone) then they pop up again and somehow never get deleted.

Same here, has been really difficult to manage. Spent time on the phone with Apple Support. Still very clunky. Was told however: . Sync for change happens overnight if all devices are connected to WiFi. . Devices must be over 50% charged, so I leave them on charger overnight . 30 day backup applies, so it takes 30 days for the impact of your deletes to be reflected in your storage count. Very messy, but I hear ya, it has driven me crazy!!!

Good info. I try to follow along, stop the presentation then pop over to do as you show. Apparently if one has an older phone it won't match with what you show. But I do like the suggestion on the external drive. Question is can you use a thumb drive to just save photos then dump onto a computer? No I'm not tech at all but always confused😂

You can use a thumb drive. I'd recommend using two drives so you have two copies in case one becomes defective.

My iCloud storage on my desktop Mac says I have 4.94 GB available out of 5 GB but when I go to check Photos on it says my iCloud storage is full. I'm trying to get around the fact that they are ditching Photo Stream which I relied on to transfer my pics to my desktop Mac. Not sure what to do or what I'm not understanding correctly. If it's on a local NAS drive that's backed up to a cloud, then it's in 2 places and I'd say you're good to go.
