I'm a Huge fanboy of Zaharoff. Pour Homme is an easy recommendation. It's not too loud. Not too subtle. It evolves Beautifully. To me, it's a 9.5/10. My second favorite Zaharoff, beaten only by Seraphim Blue, my all time favorite fragrance of all fragrances i've ever smelled. And i've smelled at least 300 fragrances (i have including decants almost 300 in my collection right now, not counting the once i've sold, tested in store or used up). Zaharoff Signature Seraphim Blue is a Perfect 10/10. The new Seraphim Red is Stunning as well. Seraphim Blue and Red is a Must try for any niche fragrance lover.

Yay, so happy Pana Doras Patchouly Dust made It's way to the spotligt😊. It's one of my absolutely top 5 favorites from the House. Great vid as always!

I'm so happy to see Penhaligon's in the spotlight again! Also I hope to see a Pana Dora discovery some day as the house really intrigues me. My only concern with Pana Dora is the type of oud they use, and whether it's too animalic

Yay! I just got my Discovery Set from Sospiro this afternoon and I can't wait to explore! Always looking forward to Mate Talk every week. And I'm considering Tagore as a full bottle when we head to Milan next Feb!! Hope you all are having a great week, Mr Marcelo! 🔥

I was actually wearing Patchouli Dust today! It's also exactly what I wrote in my Fragrantica review. That's the one that made me go "ok, it's clear Ibrahim is a genius". I myself struggle with patchouli and somehow, it works here. The opening is bright, rosy and zesty, I barely get that mustiness I'd get from Pardon or Portrait (of a Lady). But what really stuns is that morphing through the wear. How Ibrahim pulled this off blows my mind. Truly a work of art. Thanks for a great maté talk as usual, Marcelo. :)

Xerjoff Tony Iommi Monkey Special ... This gets me so many compliments! The boozy, fruity, patchouli caramel bomb is an absolute winner and was my wedding day scent.

How come that Layton Exclusif from Parfums de Marley doesn’t get enough recognition? It is one of the best out there for me.
@bartoltolic23 күн бұрын
Layton Exclusif is very particular. The animalic opening can rub some people the wrong way. I went in expecting Layton DNA with some Oud and boy was I suprised. That almondy sweet civet in the opening can be a lot but all in all it’s not a bad fragrance
@Jesus-Christ-Is-Our-King22 күн бұрын
@ Yeah, I guess it all comes down to preferences, but I don’t smell anything animalic in there. The oud they use is pretty smooth and westernized. On the other hand regular Layton is also amazing and well performed yet somewhat it also gets overlooked.

I enjoyed it but you babble on way too much and I’m just fast forwarding. I enjoy when you and Kevin are together because he gets to the point with the fragrance
@TheNicheFragranceCollector2 күн бұрын
Yep, I hear you🙄 Mate Talks are like a raft that's slow moving down a river (we'll get there, when we get there😬) I always wanted these to be a 'real' moment in time. No cuts, not a lot of notes in preparation; just friends talking...but I also respect that it's not a style for everyone. I agree that the episodes with Kevin are punchier, plus we get the chance to bounce off each other throughout the conversation. I think that my 'Line Up' productions might also be in line with what you would prefer: kzbin.info/aero/PLl2get-JHWtd5jnKmRwsYrt9cjPeAM7u0 Thanks for jumping into the conversation @2007linay; awesome to gain your thoughts💫
