Totally agree. Without knowing the cost of living, these numbers are useless. Switzerland pays the highest, but at the same time, it is one of the most expensive countries as well.

Denmark is about 5500-6000/mo. Quite decent! Singapore and Switzerland are on par (you can even expect 80-90K per year...).

Salary of Postdoc in UK is less than £44,000 and in USA is between £40,000 to 60,000. However the top end are in exceptional cases
