Lol people close to me have found it hard to wrap their heads around the fact that I am preparing for marriage, without being in a relationship, and in the process of preparation, I am rejecting all potentially prospective life partners (in their eyes). Not merely by accumulating knowledge; but mostly by coming to terms to the layers that inform the person I am through my life experiences thus far. Elevating the good; doing away with the bad and dysfunctional, and healing even in areas where I didn't know I needed to heal. Not doing it to be ready, but doing it to be healthy. Feel like there's this incessant need to rush into marriage, especially in the church - and so many are compromising on a lot just so that they get married, which is very sad and deflating. Point number 3 really hit home for me. How will I know that I have healed enough? God will give me a yearning and an enthusiasm for a relationship, and it wouldn't feel forced, rushed or tense. Peace and Godly affirmation will govern the motivation, prevailing circumstances notwithstanding.

This is the comment which deserves a million likes!!..Am man specifically youth...I found your ideas and insights about marriage very insightful by just reading a glimpse about your thoughts!!!!!It is very important for one to prepare for marriage without involving yourself in any relationship...it is good and important one to develop him or her self spiritually, socially, psychologically, Economically etc and also healing yourself in case you had a childhood trauma, rejection, unnecessary infatuations and entanglements and soul ties....on top of that finding your purpose..by learning that, one is required to avoid narcissistic and psychopath partner.... kuddos to you, have a good journey!!!!much love from Tanzania 🇹🇿

Good point; Marriage is also governed by principles the same way natural world, language and any other sphere of life is.
