A human or any other bird is good company. Budgies need exercise, in the wild they spend most of their time flying.

@@helenellsworth9556 Thank you, Helen. They are coming along well, I've had them for a year, they are both adults, 4 and 3 years old. They both say several usual budgie things and do a few tricks. My mother always had a pet budgie, she didn't want her budgie to hear my budgies, I had 20 +, as it was thought if your budgie hears another budgie it won't talk. That was in the 1950s, how things have changed. 😊
