The only issue you have when you put that FS, which probably has poor block shedding and tackling, in sublb, they’ll be a liability in stopping the run. Speed is cool, but they’ll get picked up by a blocker and taken away from the play

It depends on the safety. Consider a FS in the mold of a Ronnie Lott, Ed Reed, Troy Palumalu or Jack Tatum. If it were some average guy, who's good at playing in a zone, you're right. But some guy who is fast and hits like a Mack truck, knocking ball carriers into next Tuesday... They'll work quite well as a sub LB. As he showed in the video, go into your depth chart and examine what you have and see if there are any hidden gems. You have Ronnie Lott at FS? Or do have Joe Nobody at FS? What you do - or what you can do - is all based on who and what you have to work with. Perhaps you have a FS who does not work as a sub LB, however - according to the depth chart ratings - he'd be a great slot CB lining up in the Quarter formation. The point is, look at what you've got. Look for hidden talents (even in lower OR players) and see where they can be utilized to better your team. In my game, I have a 68OR CB as my punt returner. He's not quite good enough as a ball carrier to move to RB. His catching skills are in the 60s, at best, and could not be even remotely considered for a switch to WR. As a CB or a switch to safety, his defense and tackling skills are a little too weak to ever see the field. Although his CB skills are somewhat low - almost never seeing the field outside of special teams - he's got 93 agility, 96 speed, 94 accel, with very good elusiveness and decent power skills... and... a 92 kick return!

If I was gonna get him on the field for that. I would consider my starting safety dropped down to the LB, and use the faster back up as a safety. But then in my base package the starter stays.

@@warreporttv8316 Sadly, this game works this way. I have a tendency to select a team and trade away everyone above a 70 on the team, in an effort to give me a challenge. I also trade away at least 1/2 of whoever is left. I replace these people with people, who are MOSTLY 70 or less, who I think deserve a chance or someone I have taken a liking to, for some reason or another. I rebuild the team from there. My QBs are Jake Fromm and Brett Rypien as his back-up. And who is their main target? Damiere Byrd! He's one of the fastest WRs in the league and he's dirt cheap! He is consistently in the top 10 WRs in the league and Jake Fromm, with Byrd as his his target, also manages to slide into that top 10 QB slots too. I have discovered, be it guys like Kyle Lewis in MLB, the Show; Amari Bailey in NBA 2K; and Damiere Byrd in Madden; there are hidden gem players in every team sport video game that are low rated but seem to play WAY above their ratings. In the Show, I can't believe how great Kyle Lewis - a 71 OR - hits that ball and how well he plays the field. In 2k ... Amari Bailey, a got who has no business as a starter IRL, is a lights out 3 & D all-star SG In Madden, there are also gems to be found. I've given you just one example from each game. If you look around, using some of the techniques in this video, you can find them. To be honest though, I knew about Damiere Byrd, but the biggest surprise was Jake Fromm. I figured he be my QB for year 1 and I'd trade or draft a better QB for season 2. No need. Fromm had 35 TDs to only 11 INTs that 1st season and over 40 TDs to only 8 INTs the second season! And went from a 67 OR to a 76 OR in those 2 seasons. Season 3 he hit 81. But now, in season 4 age has caught up to him and he's regressed to a 79. Rypien left at the end of the 3rd season and I drafted a new QB to take over at #2, who will be #1 next season. As for Byrd... He eventually got to an 85 OR! I've discovered, if you use a low OR regularly and they do well, they will level. Also, whenever they get a challenge... give them a chance to succeed... make sure the get the ball. Sorry this was so long. I hope it helped you and gave you some insight.

Coach suggestions are actually based on the game plan found in the playbook. Go to create a playbook, and you can see what is going to appear in coach suggestions based on the situation, just like a physical call sheet. The issue is that the plays are limited and, for the most part, extremely vanilla or basic.

Should have talked about slowing down your offense if you’re up 10-14 plus. Too many people give up leads by still trying to force the ball downfield. Turn on chew clock, try to get a couple first downs, and get rid of 5 minutes of the clock

It's better to rotate your backs if you're using the wear and tear system.. having a back with 91 speed, but classified as an elusive back will get him injured faster than he can run if he's the only one running the ball in a balanced offense. Your running backs need to be situational. That means you have a feature, a third down back, and a power back for short yardage. Having a back responsible for more than one of those situations is a literal accident waiting to happen.

I don’t ever throw streaks unless they are pressing or I’m trying to before half/end of game. I’m a check down merchant but I win games. I can’t even count how many times someone has tried to talk shit after losing because I was “playing scared”. Edit: I do put streaks in my route combos to run off the safeties, CBs manned up, if someone that wants to run Cover 6-9 match coverage, or someone that presses every down. Especially with that silver “press-pro”. If the streaks are open, I will throw them off course but I’m not just going to go for the home run shot every time, like a lot of people do.

I’m typically checking down too but I mix in some streaks from slot receivers depending on the defense. If there is 1 safety and I have 4 receivers on the field I send both slots on a streak route and I’ll throw to whichever side the safety isn’t on. The interesting thing is I’ve never seen a pick in that scenario. It’s either caught or swatted away.

Unless there’s some hidden stat that certain plays “set up” other plays, there’s really not much reason to call play by formation in Dynasty. ESPECIALLY if you take the time to create a well thought out playbook and strategy. Coach suggestions work really well. I do think a big mistake dynasty players make is putting too many plays and formations in their custom playbook though.

I’m not sure if I completely missed something or if the EA tutorials are just not informative enough, but I had no idea you are supposed to lead passes on revamped. I swear it only ever talked about timing and I have been getting so mad since I started playing the game because open passes get picked CONSTANTLY. I would literally throw a pick almost every drive in online games and grinding the field pass challenges have been horrible because of that. see my problem is just i hold on to the ball for way too long because im trying to make my reads. i feel that my recievers just cant get open (even the check downs are covered) and the ball just never makes it out on time, even when i do have good blocking. when i try to speed it up and get rid of the ball sooner that just leads to me throwing interceptions. with me its either sacks, or picks. no in between edit: fixing typos

Learn how to “climb the pocket” when passing… sometimes you can just pull the ball down, tuck it and take off with it , most times right up the middle of the field for a good pick up of yardage!

The depth chart is still filled with bugs. My starting HB disappears for the majority of the game. My 2nd and 3rd strings play almost the entire game. Starting HB is not injured or tired.

You don’t have to, you should still be able to pass lead without using free-form/L2. Free-Form will just give you a more precise area to pass lead to than just using the left stick. If you feel like it’s not leading the pass enough, try increasing the reticle speed or changing it to small and reticle speed around 10 and see how it feels

I currently have it set to 7 right now, per suggestions of all CFB content creators but I’m getting more advanced with my passing, so I guess it’s time to bump up the speed.

I literally finished a season in franchise with 38 sacks with one of my lineman and won the Heisman. Not only do I get sacks but I force quick passes into coverage. My top corner had 17 INTs for 7 TDs on the return. And thats just one guy. I'm not saying you can't make an impact on other positions on defense, but against the computer AI, defensive line is a very good option with the right players.

Civil u use revamped passing…How long have u been on it, do u think it’s the best setting. I use placement and accuracy, pass lead on none and speed on 3. I feel like the accuracy sucks becuz I just want to throw an open bullet dot but becuz I forgot to time it, it’s inaccurate 😒. It’s so annoying. Feel like madden24 passing was way better than cf25. Update: went to revamped passing and it’s much better than placement and accuracy
