@@michalina_malisz It's a highly underrated and unheralded instrument, I'd say. Makes me think of Donovan's soulful paean to the "Hurdy Gurdy man". But, the instrument clearly has a wide range of adaptability, especially for use in the contemporary music. Nice selections, btw, and I especially enjoyed your rendition of "Layla". I would love to hear it used more often, and by more of the musicians of today. Peace!

The first time I heard a hurdy gurdy was at the Tennessee Renaissance fair. This lady was playing on a log bench in the woods, cranking a box with tabs and it sounded like a violent and bagpipes mixed together in harmony. I was sold from there on.

Untill recently I never knew about hurdy gurdy. Then I thought it is an interesting but quaint intstrument. This video gave me a newfound appreciation for it.
