I have been collecting can tabs for my step dad to bring to the Shriners hospital. I'm separating the colored tabs from the silver because I was planning on making art out of it for the very first time. (This will be my stay at home winter project.🙂)

Probably something stretchy and fabric covered If it's not going to be an over dress I'd recommend having the tabs doubled so that the shiny smooth side faces outwards on both sides Also the aluminum rubs off on skin so you should probably coat it in clear nail polish first I had to learn that the hard way lol

Great ideas. I made a hippy style purse for my friend. Crocheted with yarn. But I didn't use a zipper. I made a flap. Use a plastic crochet hook as it will scratch. And my hand was killing me after. But it is worth it. 1 of a kind, I never made them again. She has had it for 5 years and uses it for festivals.

I think so, but it will probably not be as comfortable to wear, however. But if your making a doll’s dress, for instance, I suppose it can work.

It doesn't sound like a good idea to make a dress out of tabs and thin yard. It's not machine washable, the metal will rough up the yarn and pieces of the dress will fall off, plus the tabs have holes in them. Respectfully, it just doesn't sound like a good idea. and even if you do make the dress it might not even look good, and all that time it would take. You're just better off make a dress without the tabs.
