In password change trick, you did it as an administrator, and changed the password of a regular user. Being an administrator you can do anything. But if a regular user tries to open CMD as an administrator, it will ask the admin password. What's the solution for that?

Another technique to set password without knowing old password---->Goto This PC icon right click on it-->>Click Manage-->Navigate to Local User and groups-->When Open All user and group just right click on your existing user and click set password your password will be changed.
