I attended AEW - Dynamite in Edmonton, Alberta on July 5th, 2023. Don Callis was booed so heavily, that I could barely hear anything he said on the mic. Even Chris Jericho, who was in the ring with Callis, had to comment on how loud the boos were. I fortunately recorded the episode on my PVR, and only when I got home later that night, did I learn exactly what Callis was actually saying to Jericho.

Sometimes u just gotta go with something MORE unexpected than you'd think--- Even if it's something AS expected as Sammy turning on Roman; I'm not so sure they thought the crowds would basically be there for Sammy in that his chants were peppered throughout both shows. Now, specifically in terms of Roman, I don't know about yall, but after like a year, I never thought he was gonna lose. So I would've pivoted and had him lose the belt, to keep the unpredictable nature of it all intact, but also stolen a page from the Attitude Era playbook. When I felt Roman wasn't gonna lose until A wrestlemania and to Cody, I knew that the supposed "they want him to overtake Hogans title reign of days," so at that point, I think there were 2 or 3 instances where they should've made him lose and like I said with attitude Era, had him win the belt back riggt away, a la Austin losing to Kane in the 1st blood match, then winning the next night on Raw (they didn't have to have Roman win the very next Smackdown, i.e. lay the challenge down the next one, win it the one after that)... Easiest one, where I'd have had him lose then indeed win it the next SD with heavy bloodline interference, is Clash at The Castle to Drew. He deserved to win it there, then Roman getting it riggt back with help would've helped the EVEN IN A LOSS, ROMAN STILL OWNS WWE storyline... 2nd one is mentioned here,to Sammy, where I would've had bloodline beat Sammy to a pulp immediately after, then the next SD, open the show with a bandaged up Sammy getting beaten AGAIN in the parking lot, so now he's doubly injured, but still goes later that night when Roman invokes his hidden immediate rematch clause, put in by the wise man.. The 3rd, and this one was REALLY on the fly due to the big botch... lose it to KO in the last man standing match when they couldn't get the cuffs off. I get the panic, but having the ref just stop counting, and then AFTER that someone knocked him out or something, and they still couldn't get it off....I woulda been piping in the earpiece, "have the next ref come out but give KO 30 seconds to bash Heyman, pummel Roman, and the ref has no choice but to count it to 10" Then next Sd, a lot of KO "I beat the bloodline" gloating, Roman comes out and insults KOs manhood about winning on a technicality and issue and that he can't beat him straight up, and goads him into a rematch the following week, and then Roman wins with Blodlone help, either in prematch beat down and KO "stupidly" toughs iT out but it's too much for him, or creative bloodline mid-match interference... Again, the commentary is "Roman always has a plan, he's a tyrant, even when he loses and it looks like the a chink in the armor for the bloodline, they spring PLAN B and get back on track--- if he can't be stopped even after a loss, how can anyone stop these guys???" It gets Sammy and KO more over (somehow) by valiantly fighting thru injury, and again, makes it seem like the bloodline have iron clad contingency plans, outsmarting even the contract writers by slipping in the defunct rematch clause, and that no matter what,they are 10 steps ahead AND have so much physical power with their interference, that you not only can pick riggt up in the long Roman well, REIGN as champ lol, but u tell tje fans it's not a guarantee he always wins, keeping us on our toes, while also leaning into the unexpected, initially making fans wildly happy and all 2 or 3 guys that defeat Roman not only get over more, but have more of a grudge against bloodline, which honestly would be helping NOW, validating Drew's and KO's current heel runs... .aaaaand scene

Don't put Hogan (and Logan Puke to a certain extent) in the same category as the others. When people boo Dom and don't let him speak, it's Dominik Mysterio they're booing and Dom know that the intensity and volume speaks to his ability. When the ring is pulled down and the lights are on and he's away from the arena, a few who are into his shtick might do it but he wouldn't have a multitude of people making that deafening noise. Hogan...they weren't booing his Hulkster character. They were booing Bollea's LACK of character and morals. Even when Hogan was getting cheers, you'll notice the people doing the most adoring were young men who had been Hulkamaniacs when they were children. Compare it to when older ladies cheered for Elvis in his later years. They weren't cheering for the sweaty polyester druggie, they were 16 year old girls cheering for Elvis. As Dan Radcliff said "They're not cheering for me, they're cheering for Harry."

If we’re gonna go with that reasoning, It wouldn’t make any sense for people to boo hogan but not boo the undertaker, so I don’t think politics has anything to do with why he was booed.
