Solid foods are called swallows but are not meant to be swallowed during eating ,according to biological science the chewing before swallowing is the proper way of nutrition cause the digestion of starch takes place in the mouth . Biological enzymes in the mouth saliva acts on the solid starch and convert it to glucose before it goes down to the stomach so the Yorubas are doing it the right way by chewing

Lastly, what Yoruba men doesn't like from their wife is to switch or change or be calling their children names different from the one they named their children. If I named my child Ayomide, I want my wife to call him Ayomide and be known as Ayomide by everyone. Do not allow the name you gave the child overshadow the name the Yoruba husband gave the child. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT

The respect part is spot on accurately. Appreciating part is 100% we appreciate with words, action and money it’s our way. Verbal Love expression is individual oh many of us that I know are good with sweet words, if not how do we woe ladies. It reflects in our songs and praising God but not everyone would have such skills Cooking skills true, more can not but it’s up bringing Smiles swallow is not swallow oh truly we love varieties of swallow but we do not shew it. Locust beans that’s true for my parents but my wife doesn’t put in my food and am fine, she’s not Yoruba. Yes eating beans alone is strange truly

Eat just beans ke? Can never happen! The appreciative part is a Yoruba thing...💯 We will thank you for last year or for ten years ago if we didn't see you after the last time you did us a favour or did something we appreciate...that's when you hear people say 'e se ojo' (thank you for the last time). So that you know, we love it when people appreciate what we do and say thank you the next day or when next you meet or speak. We Yorubas are the best 'greeters' in the world😉🤣 We have a greeting for every activity! A typical Yoruba woman/man would greet you for eating, sleeping (e ku oju orun), dancing (e ku ijo), and playing (e ku ere). Name it, we have a greeting for it, even for idleness and bathing😁😁 You got a new subscriber😘😘

It will be better for the two strong tribes to iron out their differences and settle it and make peace. Why the Yorubas are angry with Igbos is that the Yoruba feels the Igbos are not appreciating their spirits of accommodation and the sacrifices they made for them during the war and aftermath of the war instead they want to blame them for the loss they had because of the war but the fact is, that Yoruba did not caused the war or the losses they had because of the war.
@chukwukakennedy5 ай бұрын
Accommodation my foot,the Yorubas that are living in the UK and Brazil in great numbers,how many times have their host countries abused and chased them away bc they're living there? How can you say that you accomodate people who wanted to opt out of the forced marriage by our colonial slave masters? Igbos lost the war on two accounts,one the influence of our slave masters the United Kingdom and their allies and secondly the economic blockade orchestrated by Awolowo where igbos were not allowed to have access to food Igbos developed their own ammunitions they used to fight the war by themselves,that's the western world especially the UK 🇬🇧 and their allies hate the igbos with passion even till eternity
@originallandlord20265 ай бұрын
The difference is in the culture - Yorubas are very respectful and appreciative. Even when the Yoruba stranger is more Prosperous than the host, the Yoruba will still behave in humble and submissive manner but in the same situation, the Igbo man easily gets carried away, and forgets he is only being accommodated in a strange land. Yorubas love and respect Igbos, especially Igbo Women 😅
@crownedking25675 ай бұрын
@@originallandlord2026 No, Yoruba is not humble or submissive to Igbo but regards them as a fellow compatriots and likewise the Igbos regards the Yorubas as fellow compatriots., and no tribe is more prosperous than the other. Stop saying this kind of talk.
