Article 20 deals with protection in respect of conviction for offenses : 1. No ex post facto law (punishment according to law enforceable at time of offense) 2. No double jeopardy (no punishment for same offence more than once) 3. No self incrimination (accused should not be compelled to be a witness against himself)
