This is something you will have to figure out yourself. Do a bit of research on the traders who's style aligns with you and do a deep dive. It will take time.

Thanks for this great gift Richard......Just will add that i have found Mark Richie II to have the best mindset and approach amongst the younger traders and your interviews with him have been inspirational for me in improving my skills...of course the seniors like Minnervini, Weinsten and Ryan are legends and in another league....

Thank you for the video. Very informative. One question. How can I add to a profitable position within 30 days after my initial buy without taking the risk of triggering the “wash sale rule”? I spoke to an advisor at Charles Schwab about this issue and he also wonders why you tube traders seem to be unconcerned about the “wash sale rule” as they add to original positions or re-purchase a stock after it has recently been stowed. The wash sale rule means that if a stock is purchased within 30 days of purchasing it the first time and then is sold for a loss…… that loss can’t be claimed. Am I missing something?

Risk is easy once mechanical. After trend following feels easy, you've made it.
@TraderLionАй бұрын
Absolutely! Once you have a solid strategy in place, managing risk becomes much more straightforward. It’s all about that consistent approach!
@bpb5541Ай бұрын
Agree. Need setups and events that get you in and out. Trading is almost totally mechanical with the exception of taking profits... there is a bit of art in that.

You need training ... pay for it. Pick one of the OGs that still exists and still trades. Once you get training you still need to get experience. You only get that by actually trading real money. In order to get to the other side you have to manage risk... and learn to lose. Nothing is 100%. You can have 9 awesome trades and 1 crappy one can wipe all of those out. It is our job to kill the trade if the reason we got in no longer exists. It is that simple... and that is where you put your stop loss (preferably mental but it you don't have the diclpline to take it when need but a hard one on). My trading journey took me over 5 years and $30k. It went like this. Lots of losing, training, some more losing, less lossing, Break even, winning, winning, winning. It's a process don't think you can just jump staright to winning. It does not work like that. You must pay your dues. The dues are in the losses. All that said nothing is a 100% ever. It does not exist stop looking for it. Control your losses.
@TraderLionАй бұрын
Thank you for sharing your journey! It's inspiring to see how dedication and experience can turn losses into valuable lessons.
