I also studied my LLB at UniSA, I had a chance to go to other universities but UniSA was more convenient for me because I've always been a person who works well with a flexible schedule so a traditional university wouldn't of worked for me, in other words going to class on a daily basis was not what I wanted. I didn't struggle at all as a UniSA student, job wise I got my articles two months after completion of my degree. So my journey with UniSA was great but would I recommend anyone to take the same route well be ready to be belittled most of the time especially in practice but what people don't know is that UniSA students are very hardworking lol having to teach yourself 40 modules gives you that attribute and I use that to my advantage every day at work 🙂 Gosh I want to share a lot about my journey, so wish I could be part of this discussion. UNISA is suitable for people who are employed, those who can't afford to pay for res and traveling to classes everyday. It requires descipline, focus, independence and for you to be resourceful because there's no spoon feeding, you have to be active in finding assistance when having difficulties, pursuing opportunities for practical training and so on. The only thing to get in the way of your success is the limitations you set on yourself.

I completed my BCom Law with UNISA and I am currently in my final semester awaiting my results. I have studied with other universities prior to studying at UNISA and I can attest to the fact that UNISA is very much on par with other universities in terms of the standard. I can even further say, the expectation at UNISA is higher in that you are expected to work independently which is not done at contact universities. Another thing, at contact universities there are extra-curricular activities that law students can participate in which gives them the added advantage and thus makes them more attractive to employers but besides that, UNISA students are just as capable.

Thanks for the upload. I am a 2nd year Unisa LLB student. I think any university is difficult, Unisa is just distance learning. With Covid it did improve and we have been provided with online classes and hands on lecturers and Telegram that is quite interactive. In first year I was definitely alone but it was doable. What one needs is to be dedicated and put extra effort. 2nd year has been very tough since Unisa decided on a super semester, which really put me at edge along with other students, but I think it needs time management and passion.

He has really struggled and it was also not so good to hear him relating about these people who were taking advantage of his desperation. They're so cruel no ways.😢😢 I still have the same feeling regarding UNISA hey... It's really not a good idea there study there, Nello's struggles are testament to that rather one goes to the Full-time Universities we all know so as to avoid such tragic experiences from occurring. But as it was said, life is not a one size fits all sometimes and so journeys differ.🤷♀ Great lessons learnt. Thank you so much Atil ❤❤ #UNISA

also need to remember most of these varsities are also corrupted in the sense that they will tell you you cannot study there because of one point, i had my own struggles, applied numerous times and the last thing you want to do is study a different degree because you want that "varsity". I live to tell my story to my kids one day BUT UNISA accepted me when no one did and i am very happy about my decision. another thing when i suggest you do higher certificate in legal studies, thats what helped me, while was waiting to get accepted and when i applied again for transfer they said i'd have to start from scratch, imagine repeating modules of llb that you van be exempted from because you had already done legal studies certification. So in short my studying LLB with six first year modules (exempted from 4) if i had more money would have applied for 4 second year modules. NEVER GIVE UP. Familiarise and research about unisa and the groups for ne students through their portals, you can do it there.
