I taught myself when I was younger and my little brother took piano lessons. He's the musician in the family. I don't know how much he still plays but I think he could play everything on here except levels 8, 9, and 10.

@@アヤミ I don't really play, to be honest. I just goof around with the piano every once in a great while when I feel like it or I play with the keyboards in Sam's Club around Christmas. Non-pianists have no idea how difficult the eighth piece is...That Chopin piece (ninth) sounds amazing to beginners but I won’t even say it is harder than the Fugue. It is like non-pianists would think Fantasie Impromptu is super hard but it is actually one of the easiest “advance” pieces you can play. Just because it sounds fast and fancy doesn’t mean it’s harder, vice versa for the Fugue.
@AltoonaYourPiano5 жыл бұрын
I completely agree, if anything the big jump is between levels 7 and 8. Especially considering the right hand part for the Chopin song is pretty simple which means most of the difficulty is in the speed of the arpeggios while Bach's Fugue requires mastering countermelodies. Non-pianists and beginners also overestimate the difficulty of the first piece, when in reality it's not much harder than "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" or "Happy Birthday".
@johncotta82885 жыл бұрын
That's intriguing, that would explain why you see children play fantasie impromptu..lol

Qafar Quluzade Since I use RCM, Liebestraum no.3 is considered grade 10. I’m currently grade 7-8, and the only Liszt piece I can play is Consolation no.3. His greater works (Paganini etude 4) are considered ARTC+. I agree flight of the bumblebee is pretty easy, it’s just the tempo that makes it kind of tricky.

Ok.... the difficulty just goes straight up from level 8 to 9. p.s. i just realised the funny subtitles at LEVEL 9 lol -- Subtitles: -- Lord Vinheteiro begins playing piano. While staring into your soul as usual, as usual. Level two begins, this is so easy for him he doesn't even look at the keys. Level three. Still child's play to him. Level 4. Only the strong will survive. Level 5. We're halfway there (Squidward on a chair) Axel F JK it's level 6 Bach - 2 Part Invention N.8 (Piano playing) End of part 6 Level 7 Level 8 I've run out of things to say. Subscribe? LEVEL 9 Despair, for thou shalt never in all eternity reach this level! For you are but a human, in the presence of a god! Ah, the torrents of emotion wrested from thy soul by pure music! Level 10 prelude to the grand finale Stop reading the captions and just enjoy the music! Bye now! Ominous humming.

Yes. Lots of counterpoint and difficult independent motions going on in level 8. In some ways one might find it harder than Chopins revolutionary etude in lvl 9. Chopin generally has melodies going on while the other hand plays chords, and when both hands are doing stuff, it is pretty linear. They are different types of difficult.

Shannon Camara not really, chopins revolutionary etude is actually pretty easy (just a bunch of arpeggios in left hand), Bach’s fugues on the other hand are extremely complex and insanely difficult to play correctly (rhythmically, with proper articulation, phrasing, dynamics, etc.) So 8 was actually harder than 9 xD
