Greg, can you suggest a method for achieving the illumination if we don’t have the sprayer?

It will be difficult, but a wet-on-wet blend is your best bet for the background glow (try to work in the yellow/white glow while the 2nd background layer is still wet). The final white glow spot I would add dry-on-dry and scrub it in lightly with a scrumbler brush. This video may help explain these techniques - kzbin.info/www/bejne/onXPo3eKe9ekq7c
