Y’all misinterpreted that. His mom was dropping rocks on the carpet. He was picking them up to sell the next day. That’s why he said I put my shoes on and hit the block right after. He was making money off the crumbs his mom dropped from a young age.

Crazy to me that he recorded this straight outta jail (I've heard it was right after getting picked up but I also heard it was like the next day) and that's where he learned to rap. No wonder his friends were getting a kick out of it cuz they'd never heard him rap. And Chad armes recorded the video on his cell jelly probly didn't even know phones could take video that didn't look like scrambled PPVs n didn't sound like you were talking thru a vent lol. Even crazier that he was still repping gangster disciples at the time. Him and struggle. I first heard jelly in like 2014 or so and i really wanted to like him cuz he's a dope rapper but his lyrics I just couldn't consciously listen to on a regular basis. I remember this one song called Smoke Beer and the hook goes 'I smoke beer, I drink weed, ride around screaming F the police, I pop lean...' and the song was about how he does so much drugs he thinks he's smoking beer and drinking weed while he drives around vomiting on himself trying to bang chicks. Like wtf? Lol I can't put this on a playlist. But a few years later I gave him another chance and he was a lot more positive. And now his songs are about helping people and baring his soul. Idiots can say he sold out or some garbage but those same keyboard gangsters wouldn't be attending his custody hearings or bailing him outta jail or giving 2 shits if a kid ODd on his product. So if evolving changing raising your daughter and not selling drugs into your 40s is selling out, I'm curious how that's supposedly a bad thing. He only signed the distribution deal for his country album and he still got creative control on it. Just listen to the record and you'd know it wasn't a bunch of suits, jelly's fingerprints are all over the album. And goddamn, how can you not be super proud of the guy and how far he's come? Watch the video of him singing almost v home with Craig Morgan at the Opry...and if you don't get emotional you're either a sociopath or lacking a pulse. The dude came from the gutter and told all his life he'd never be nothing, and I've literally never seen an artist so damn appreciative of where he's at. Lol I've seen the guy cry prolly 5 times overcome with gratitude. Sure beats Satanic rituals at the Grammys and worshipping sexual degeneracy / perversion marketed to grade school kids.
