Really enjoying this series! It's hard to find material out there that isn't just the basic rules of Go, but also isn't the kind of strategic analysis that only masters can understand. Thanks for this!

That whole proverbial saying about losing 100 games is ...a frustrating process to say the least 😜 As usual, great video with lots of excellent info!

Frustrating. You can say that again.I tend to swear a lot while I'm playing and everything I'm trying fails in a spectacular way.

2:10 is not the knight's move (keima), it's the large knight's move (ogeima). 4:57 The iron pillar is when you have two connected stones on the 2nd and 3rd lines, not on the same line.

??? Iron pillar is a shape. It's independent of where on the board it is. Also, yes, it's a keima, knight's move, and the other one is the ogeima. The extra space is what separates them.

That whole lose 100 games proverb makes me mad because lets just say I'm no the best loser and don't like to lose (who does though). Even though I know it is best to get that experience in and play those games I'm pushed away at the fact that I know, with what little to no skill that I have, I will lose. I haven't played to many games against real players just for that reason and I really like to play but I have a hard time knowing I'm going to lose even though I know it will make me stronger.
