Sigh...you guys can't keep saying this about every single player you like--"The media doesn't give him enough credit". He JUST finished a season where he was voted as the Rookie of the Year, literally chosen by the media. That's all the credit he deserves for being pretty good on a 13th place team. When he actually does develop into a top 5 player, the media will be on their knees. There are no conspiracies to keep players down. They print what WE talk about so we can tune in and they can get paid.

Paolo showed he can be star forsure and If you said top 20 already I get it but top 5 is wild this soon he didn’t show anything to suggest that yet. His 2nd half stats(last 36 of 72gms) were 18.8ppg 7reb 3.6ast .6stl .6blk 2.6TO 41.6/28.5/71.9 shooting splits(awful) and -108. For comparison Jalen Williams last 37/75gm 16.5ppg 5.3reb 3.8ast 1.8stl .4blk 1.7TO 52.3/40.6/85.6 splits(Elite)and +93. Paolo’s first half was much better but still not great efficiency or defense and was -107. Franz Wagner was the Magic’s best player last year and most likely will be again this year. After that is probably when Paolo could make the jump but to top 5 someday would mean he would need to be top 5 among guys like Tatum, SGA, Luka, Ant Edwards, Haliburton, Wemby, Ant, Ja, Scoot, LaMelo, Mobley, Maxey, Bane, J Dub, Chet, JJJ Franz, Cade, Scottie Barnes, Zion, Garland etc.. and that’s not including anyone born before 98 or from 2024 class and later it’s just too early to say he’s capable of that

At 6'10 250 pounds with that kind of footwork in the post, ball handling ability, and ability to create his own shot from anywhere on the court, combined with the fact he can get out in the open, get downhill, and has great court vision make him the players we thought Michael Beasley was going to be. On the low, Paolo has MVP-level talent.
