I dissolved 3 tums tablets in a gallon of water for calcium. Poured onto the soil around my tomato plant. Removed tomatoes with the rot. This worked wonderfully!! No more bottom end rot or any other problem last year.

if you catch the rot before it gets bad you can stop it completely by adding milk to the soil. It stops the rot & the tomato can keep growing without any other problems. thats the way it has worked for me in the past. I have been better at watering the last couple of years so havent had to deal with it.

I used cleaning vinegar and put it on my plant because I saw these bugs, the bugs that stink when you step on them. Well, the plant has dropped down and looks week. Oh and I didn’t use the vinegar that is used for salads. Instead I used a cleaning vinegar. And for 6. pour undiluted solution around the pot. That’s what I did, I put it around the pot on its little plate, but knowing that the pot has wholes in the middle and the soil absorbs anything that goes on the plate.

You first add equal or more volume of vinegar to dissolve the egg shells or lime and after 1- 2 hours mix any amount of water depending on how much vinegar you added to adequately dilute that vinegar. Free soluble calcium is anyway available in the solution. Water this dilute solution to your plants.

Yes you are right. Quantity does not matter. Adequate enough to dissolve and then you add a lot of water to dilute it and water your plants.

Pulling them by roots is the best method. Strong vinegar of 20% concentration is best but if you have your favourite plants next to weeds it’s not advisable to use vinegar.

I have wasted lots of vinegar trying to get rid of weeds from interlocking bricks-it only makes the grass turn yellow but then it does not disappear and in a few months everything is back. Only solution is a powerful water jet spray to get them out from its roots. It is very dirty but only thing that works. And then seal the hole with magic sand and seal or just keep it as is after water spray treatment and then just watch for weeds in the future.
