Han it might help if you bring you legs back a little bit because right now your boots are touching her shoulders but other then that you both look amazing

lol it’s hard to put your leg back on a spicy & reactive ponio - they have a tendency to go bang a bit!
@brendahole9575 Жыл бұрын
@@AtLast796 I absolutely agree that can often be the case - but disagree they don’t have the capacity to be ‘spicy’ (aka excited, fresh etc). When you turn them out & they kick their heels up, I genuinely think it’s because it’s fun! Science may not be able to identify the structures/chemical combinations that control our emotions but I’m pretty sure horses have them. Happy to agree to disagree though 😁

Horses do have emotions AND a great memory! They can be spicy to downright stubborn & refuse to do anything. Plus like us, horses do have “good & bad” days.. thus they can get upset/frustrated/spooky/feel ill, etc. Some can act like they don’t hear or feel their rider’s instructions’ movements when on them. Btw imo it looks like your saddle is a lil too forward n may be putting pressure on her withers + may cause her discomfort or pain in her shoulders to her back. Thus causing her reactions or maybe she’s just mad about the 10 months of school & she wants to test you/see what your reaction is, when she’s trying to be naughty 😈 towards you on her back. Yet deep down, Affie is glad you’re back! You two are a great fit.🏇 💜✌️🦋🐴

YAY HAN!!! I have a pony who is SO much like her--all rushy and silly to start and it always took him a long time to settle. Just keep at it and now that she will soon be back in real work, you can start to instill new, better habits. 🙂 So happy for you!!!

So happy to see Affie back doing work with you! I can tell she's super excited, and I'm so impressed you can tell when she's going to act up and when to tell her to relax. I'm the same way when I know my cat is about to act up, but I know that's not half as impressive as doing it while on a horse. Great job, and I hope you both continue to have fun on your journey! 💕

Considering she's done minimal work for the past 10 months and can't be lunged before getting on, she was very much honest. My horse would've been up in the bushes and doing acrobatics lol. She really only had one spook/bolt which you handled brilliantly.
