Hilltop drive-in Theater opened in May-1-1953 and the movie that played was "The Savage " staring Charlton Heston. I was born in May of 1957. My first time going to the Hilltop Drive-in was in 1963 " Fun in Acapulco " staring Elvis Presley. I had a blanket and I laid on the front fender of my Grandfather's 1946 Pontiac aero back. I'm 69yrs today and I remember it as if it was yesterday. GREAT MEMORY....

Turqoise and white Dodge for its unique style and color combo with the Stude' as a close second , 1st drive in I drove to was The Ithaca Drive-In Theatre , destined to close a few years later (was '77 ) due to the popularity of drive-ins then . The car was my parents '75 El Camino with a bench seat and a 400 under the hood to chirp the tires leaving red lights . My high school honey and I had many a good night in it until I got my 1st road car , a loaded '72 Skylark with a 350 !

The Victory Drive In on Victory Dr. in Savannah, Ga. It's gone now!!! I was 16 in '68 which is when I got my license and was able to go to the drive-in!! To me, those were the days!! Gone never to return!!

Double Feature Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and Fist of Fury in 1974. We drank Everclear mixed with lemonade! I got home at 2:30 am and was I in BIG trouble! We went there in a 1964 Oldsmobile F85! It was at the Halsted Outdoor Drive in theater in Riverdale, IL. which is now one of the most DANGEROUS neighborhoods in Chicago! Man did we have fun!!! I do not know if it is still there.

Bengies drive inn I first went there in 1973 and their still open today. Sundays they let the driver of a classic car in free. My wife and myself take my 1973 Mach 1 when they have a movie we want to see.

Okay I think the statutes of limitations have run out, Midway drive in, Bruce would park his Ford van up against the fence, an tap the keg, and charge a buck a cup while Steve would be selling Columbian out of ticket booth# 2 it's now a Lowe's and a dicks drive in, which is cool, now I don't have to go into Seattle to feed the old woman a bag of Dicks , driving the brand new 75 Chevy C-20 Dad bought November of 74.that I still drive today,

The first Movie I ever drove myself to the drive-in was "The Adventures of Ford Fairlane" at the Hwy 19 Drive-in in Cuba Missouri and it's not only still standing but it's still operating. I absolutely LOVE that first 1960 Dodge, Although it's not a D150, It's a D100, The D-150 didn't start until the 3rd Generation of the D-Series in 1972. That 79 Ranchero is really good deal too, the Ranchero's time is coming back around, there are several of them running around out here and several others in the process of being built.

@@Americanrodshop Thank You. 1967 Pontiac Firebird. Picture makes it looks nicer than it is. Nah it is not to bad. Definitely not show quality. Transmission leaked all the fluid out. The control arms need replaced. The guy I bought it off of had welded them and not very well. The body is solid. Quarters, fenders were replaced. It is a solid car just needs some tweaking. I figure $20k invested and it would be a decent cruiser and car show worthy. Right now I would be happy to just get the transmission fixed. Maybe in another month I may drag it out and see what the problem with that is. If you run out of viewers with cars for sale maybe have people send in pics of the cars they do own and let others see them. Keep up the good work. I see you are up to 12.3k subscribers. I am anxious to see it top 100k

@@Americanrodshop Yes, they upgraded to digital a few years ago with some fund raising I think. Haven't been there myself, as an old fart, not much interested in the offerings these days. Back in the day, steamed up the windows! The Barr-Ann in Portage also still up & running last I heard. Was converted to digital, as all had to, in order to keep showing movies.
