Nobody butchers the English language more than the British, and us English have least excuse of all, and we still do it 😂😂 I constantly puzzle why if you just drive an hour in any direction within England itself, you end up with a local dialect with different pronunciations and sometimes even radically different grammar like Old Yorkshire has. Slight overlap between Manchester and Liverpool but not much really. Lancashire and Manchester are noticeably different to each other despite being neighbours. The fascinating hodgepodge of accents you get around the midlands, ranging from quite crisp and posh sounding, to typical Brummie, and then those they mock for being too Brummie: The Yam Yams of Dudley who say 'kipper tie' for 'cuppa tea' etc etc etc
