For those wondering, how a person can get lost in a very small area, well, I have been an avid hiker myself and have been helping with ultra trail races in my small home country for years, generally, there is no place in the woods in our country further than 5 - 6 miles from civilization, yet I managed to get utterly lost in an area very well known to me, some 1 mile from the nearest village. It was in the evening, darkness started to fall, just have taken a wrong turn somewhere and all of the sudden I had no clue where I was. Fortunately, I had my sleeping bag and a bivak bag with me, which I carry exactly for a case like this, it was a warm summer night, so I just stayed where I was overnight in order no to get lost even more. In the morning, within 40 minutes, I was back in civilization and we had a good laugh at it. BTW, If you go hiking in these huge and remote areas, get a personal rescue beacon, they send an SOS signal and your gos position and even can be tracked without you sending the SOS signal, if someone else knows its ID. Some of these US national parks are about the size of 1/4th of my entire country with no civilization for miles and miles on, if you wonder in a wrong direction, you will be forever lost

Absolutely right. I do a fair amount of summer hiking in the northeast, and if you wander even a few feet off the trail in a small park it's easy to get disorientated and not be able to find your way back to the trail. And the fact that the tree canopy hides the sun makes it difficult to use the sun as a directional guide. I've found my way out using a map and compass--always carry them, and a flashlight.

Those wolves are on the increase . They have been for quite a while now. There's a few Vets living out there as well that cannot handle society. They suffer from PTSD. It's all top secret stuff. They take the shoes or boots for obvious reasons. Mentally ill but highly trained in jungle warfare.

@Jennifer 6strings I actually believe that not every veteran that is homeless living on city streets actually does live on city streets. There's thousands of homeless veterans throughout America. Many of them have PTSD and other mental illnesses. They are trained soldiers with total knowledge of jungle warfare and abduction techniques. The boots and shoes are often missing in many cases while in other cases the clothing is folded in a neat pile. While certain articles of clothing are never found. If it fits...wear it. People have been located after walking many miles with no skin on their feet due to being forced to walk these distances without boots. People also vanish during winter because these elite soldiers will eat anything that walks moreso if they have mental illnesses and they are thrill kill cannibals. This is just my observation and guess work. It wouldn't surprise me at all if this is happening. Mountain lions and wolves will also prey on the elderly no problem. They know these people are elderly in their domain.

I like how most of these are like "they went missing, they searched, still missing", but i can't stop watching. It's amazing how quickly you can get lost. I spent nearly an hour off trail on a simple hike at Zion. Just failed to pay attention for a second, took a wrong turn, continued for a bit then turned around to see i was in the middle of the woods with no sign of the trail. I was totally unprepared because it was a quick 1 mile out-and-back trail that was rated moderate, when I had done a 15-mile hike the day before. There was nothing difficult about this trail, i just let my mind wander for a bit and it was that simple to get lost. Now I don't go on trail without my locator beacon and offline maps, even if it's just a quick little hike near a road. If i start after like 2pm, I take simple shelter so that I can wait it out if i'm not back by dark.

You are right it is very easy to get lost and to get lost very quickly. And then panic will set in and you lose all your energy. Then you can’t think straight and you make mistakes. I spend a lot of time outdoors, it has happened to me. I had to stop, gain my composure and concentrate on what I needed to do. Really, the only way you learn how to react is to get lost. In this information age and all of these missing people still mounting in numbers, it blows my mind how so many people still seem to think "it can't happen to me" as they insist on going alone, or separating from their group. Many missing people who were hiking with a partner, family, or group, disappeared ONLY YARDS AWAY from the rest, and some in only a matter of seconds. It's downright scary, and folks need to wise up.

Thunderbirds ?
@howabouthetruth21572 жыл бұрын
@@nicholaswilliams4336 I'm assuming you're talking about the extremely large birds of prey ( related to eagles, hawks, etc ) that many folks have witnessed, that modern science claims "doesn't exist". Personally, I believe that many of these witnesses to giant birds with wingspans of 8 to 16 feet are telling the truth. And of course, they are indeed known as "Thunderbirds". Several Indian tribes have the age old stories. If a large eagle or hawk can swoop down to pick up a small child, which has happened a few times ( it's very common for eagles, hawks, and large owls to swoop & pick up small dogs, they even have small deer being swooped up on video! ).......I could certainly believe that a Thunderbird could attack a human weighing less than 160 lbs. What else can explain such a sudden disappearance.......one second they were right there, now they're gone without a trace........no tracks, no signs of s struggle. I also believe Sasquatch and/or some other cryptid (such as "Dogman" ) may be taking many of these victims. On the subject of "Dogman".......I used to think that was total bunk. Not anymore. Noted Sasquatch researcher Scott Carpenter didn't believe in Dogman either. That is, until he wound up seeing one with his own eyes, hanging off the side of a tree, and only 30 to 40 ft away, just staring him right in the eye. Scott stated he was so terrified, he pulled his pistol and slowly backed out of the area. He has documented footprints and SEVERAL VIDEOS/IMAGES of Dogmen!!! These videos are shocking......especially the video showing a Dogman crouched only several feet behind him, with an even stranger "alien" looking entity perched on it's shoulder.......you can literally see both creatures moving in the video, I kid you not!!! ( Scott was using a method he calls "backtrail camera", where he always mounted a camera on his shoulder facing backwards, with a gymbal device to stabilize the camera/video footage. This method is what enabled Scott to capture many videos/images of Sasquatch and Dogman. They always peek out at people when their back is turned. ) Check out his video entitled: "The Dogmen are real". This is a long video, very disturbing, and should convince even some of the toughest critics.
@nicholaswilliams43362 жыл бұрын
Thunderbirds are in fact related to Crows, DNA Might tell us something different, they might be an offshoot of Teratorns. They are all sorts of sizes not all of them are giants, but the giant ones are very impressive ( w/spans up to 60 feet ) and like all birds of prey, they fold their wings, drop like a stone, snatch a grown person and fly away with their prey in complete silence, gone in the blink of an eye... You Wanna see one ? Have a look at the Crosby Grace Travel Guide for 1st time visitors to Yosemite National Park... look closely right at the beginning, talk about 20 foot wingspan ?
@nicholaswilliams43362 жыл бұрын
The recurring patterns bout Thunderbird attacks are always a person going ahead of a group or falling behind, its like the birds are watching groups of people thruout the forest, just waiting for that moment of separation, when someone goes out of sight of the others or people that are injured, elderly and slow, children or just about anyone on their own that they can surprise from behind... think of Lions on the Serengeti.. thinning the herd
@nicholaswilliams43362 жыл бұрын
People never cry out cos they’re unconscious straight away, but not dead... they actually wake up in the Thunderbirds giant nest. The bird realises it’s prey has little chance of escape so it doesn’t have to kill it straight away. The humans cries for help are futile, carried on the wind and if heard by people on the ground cos they can’t determine where the noise is coming from, they assume the person is stuck in another dimension

National Parks = Flesh Farm/Hunting Grounds
@pamelasmitley37125 жыл бұрын
You may be correct about the parks being hunting grounds for food. That's why no traces are being found. But the cause is probably giants (the Nephilim) as orginally recorded in Genesis Chapter 6. They were cannibals. An example of this can be found with the ancient missing Anasazi Indian tribe who were neighbors of the Navajo. They witnessed an incursion of giants who arrived through spiral portal/gateways near to their homes. These giants started eating the Anasazi so they moved their dwellings high up on the cliffs for safety. You can view these cliff dwellings today and see the petroglyphs the Anasazi left behind showing the arrival of the giants and the feasts they made of their people. Unfortunately they had to come down from the cliff to hunt for food and that's when the giants got them. Eventually the neighboring Navajo went to check on them and found all the Anasazi missing or cannibalized. Today tribal shaman say these giants will be returning again soon. I think they never left, they just hide in the wilderness areas. See attached detailed account of the Anasazi. legends.atavist.com/the-anasazi-legend-where-did-they-go Sasquatch may be hiding there as well. I believe the bigfoot are related to the Nephilim but are a more animal like hybrid. The Nephilim were the hybrid offspring of fallen angels and humans that lived before Noah's flood and also after. These giants were the reason for the flood. They were incredibly strong, had 6 fingers and 6 toes, were cannibals and traveled via portals/gateways which are located all over the world. For a more recent encounter Google the Kandahar Giant of Afghanistan. A group of military specialists were on a mission when they suddenly disappeared, no distress call was given. Another group was sent to find them. When they reached the last known coordinates they were attacked by a giant who was living in a nearby cave. He skewered one soldier on his lance while they fired everything the had into his body, which did not even slow him down. Their superiors told them to fire headshots only and that finally killed the giant. In the Bible David killed Goliath ( a giant with 6 fingers & 6 toes) with a headshot guided by God. How did the superiors know to do this? The bones of the missing troops were scattered all around him. He had eaten all of them. The body was transported back to the US where current status is unknown or information is blocked. Eyewitness accounts said he was a man 13 foot tall, 6 fingers and 6 toes, bright red hair and beard, and weighed 1600 pounds. You can still find some of the old interviews on KZbin, check out L. A. Marzulli. There is a newly released documentary from Steve Quayle and Chuck Missler called "THE DISTANT THUNDERS, " which discusses the Nephilim giants, the alien/UFO agenda and great deception (aliens are not extraterrestrial but are interdimensional), the 10 existing dimensions, the coming two witnesses, our holographic universe and much more. There is reason the US just created the new SPACE FORCE. Watch teaser trailer here. You can also find at stevequayle.com. kzbin.info/www/bejne/naeVfKptptubicU

Not entirely impossible, but suppositions like this always seem to completely disregard the subject and their care for their own safety. Sure, people do really dumb stuff, and sure, the Lost Coast Trail has some very watery spots, but I haven't known hikers to be thrill seekers, or people who do things before thinking it through. .... inexperienced people who try to through hike the PCT first go, maybe, but all that aside. It's an idea you have, but an idea in a place where no one needs one. Everyone in snow country was buried by snow then? the lady in the desert was carried off by coyotes or no, fell into a cave no one knows is there? .... we can use your same method to explain away every lost person case, and keep in mind - Rusty's top 10 videos aren't exactly detailed accounts - there could be more info. My question is why would you try to explain that someone who went missing was careless or totally naive - while presenting no facts from the case yourself?
@src45265 жыл бұрын
well actually there are a few places on the Lost Coast Trail that dip below the high tide line. if one went past a certain point and got stuck by the rising tide they may have to chance a water crossing to avoid being stuck after dark. one sneaker wave or slip on a mossy rock and your crab food. this stuff happens on the Northern Cal and Oregon coast's fairly often.

Stephen sou.. Mt Washington is the tallest peak east of the Rockies. It holds records for the highest winds ever recorded on Earth. Above the tree line, the walking is very difficult. The trail is mostly stone so there is no worn path to follow in many areas. Small piles of boulders mark the path at close intervals. I've been on the mountain when the visibility was so low we would squat at a marker and look in every direction trying to find the next marker. Repeating this over and over. Sometimes we would use whistles to find people in our group that were only a few yards a way but obscured by the weather and fog. The idea that someone would lose the path, go missing, and not be found does not surprise me in any way.

I yelled and screamed and honked my horn ALL NIGHT LONG...!!! I called the Park ranger then 1 hour later here comes a park ranger with the 2 of them in the back seat...OMG I was so relieved and happy... 🐳😱🌺

I really hate to say this, but I think the answer is in your description. National Park. I have lived in various wilderness areas for 35 years of my 60 years on this earth. I have experienced what I would call paranormal situations 4 times. All 4 times have been on National Park managed lands, and I don't have words to explain the experiences except that it is an overwhelming feeling of fear and dread. Over the years I realize there is a lot more out there than we can see, and I try not to draw any correlations. But I would say it is a strong energy and it really fills you with fear and kicks in a solid fight or flight. Only, it's nothing you can see. The last one was about 20 years ago. I was camped way outside of the National park in the Glacier Peak wilderness. Only things out there besides me were black bear, wolves, and coyotes. One morning I get up and there is a beautiful black lab at my tent door, curled up and sleeping. I got up, made breakfast for both him and me. It was fall and it was pretty cold. I was camped about 24 miles from my car which was at the very end of an old logging road. The dog had a collar with the park ranger tag on it so I knew where he belonged but I wasn't prepared to hike out that day. He and I just hung out, fished, got fire wood, and went about our day. It was really cold that night so I let him in the tent and he just laid down next to me and slept all night. We got up early and I told him we have a long day because I need to get him back home. I didn't break camp, I just fixed up a backpack with survival gear and food and water. We made the hike to the car and then the 30 mile drive to the Park service station, which was closed by then. So we walked to the service housing and I immediately got that feeling, I looked at him and he was pulling away from the rope I used as a lead. The closer we got, the worse I felt and the more he struggled. I should have just turned around and went back. But I figured he was a very valuable dog and he belonged to someone that loved him. I started knocking on doors and finally someone came out that knew who owned him. The guy didn't seem really happy to be reunited and I had a bad feeling. But I turned the dog over. I got back in my car and drove all the way back, but couldn't make it to camp based on the time. So I slept in the car and hiked back in the following morning. I got back to camp around 4:30 in the afternoon and guess what? The lab was sitting there in front of the tent waiting for me. So he became my dog from that point on. I truly believe there is some real evil within National Park services, but I don't have any backing evidence. But I also believe there are forest energies that fight this, just not in a way we can understand.

*just some tips for the hikers who likes to scare themselves before hiking by watching these videos!* if you ever find yourself lost, *never* continue to wander. stay exactly where you are when you notice you are lost. *always carry a six foot rope.* in case you need to move from the spot you are in to maybe sleep or avoid predators tie that rope to a tree & hide yourself. also can be used for climbing & repelling! *always tell family and friends your plans so you can get recused in case of becoming lost* even if you’ll just be gone for 30 minutes. you never know what life has in store for those 30 minutes. play it safe. tell someone even if it’s a gas station clerk by the trail you intend on hiking. if you find yourself to have fallen and are hurt for this *glow stick(s).* as silly as it sounds but it could literally be the only thing someone sees. it could the difference between them overlooking your body. dead or alive. always, *ALWAYS* carry an extra 20 ounce bottle of water & at least a few snack bars. *never go out without checking the weather!* also know that bears *can* climb trees. know your animals and learn what they can and cannot do in case you encounter one in the wild! *learn about the plant life* this is so important if you’ve run out of food! learn what is edible, what is poisonous, & what can cause rashes/heal. & *always carry some form of protection.* whether it’s a knife or a gun. if you carry a gun, bring enough ammo to fend off large groups of wild predators. stay safe & stay rusty y’all. 🖤🤍

I went into the snow peak area of northern Idaho twice. Once in 2006 and then again in 2016.The first time in I took 2 back packs in one full of dried food one with clothes. Being toward the end of May there was still a lot of snow on the ground so I had to pack my gear in.The next morning I took enough rations out of my food pack then climbed a tree and hung it out on a limb because of bears. The distance to the sawtooth campground from there is about 12 miles . so i got there stayed the night ,next day went back and before I got back it was pouring down rain and my pack was gone no trash around nothing but a perfectly built mound of my granola about 7 pounds worth piled up in a perfect pile I mean with a point on top. But saturated and like oatmeal.The funny thing there is I had it in 3 separate bags. So I stood under the tree that night because of the rain. Next day the rain had stopped. I took off my rain poncho laid it on the ground and tried to sleep and something for the next 2 hours or so would start screaming at me.I don't know what they where but small critters of some sort coming from all sides a very loud shrill like scream. I was to tired to chase after them to see what they were. I did finally make it into the little north fork of the Clearwater river which was a nother 8 miles from sawtooth. Both times when I packed into this river, at night I could here music coming from the river. This would happen when I would lay down and be the voice of a woman. Trip number 2 I was moving my stuff in a different way along the river. Where I set up my first camp was at the spotted loui creek. The second camp was at canyon creek. I went in with a lot of food in five gallon buckets because I was going to stay for 6 weeks looking for elk antlers. To shorten this story on one of my trips back to spotted loui from canyon, I got to camp and there was three separate forked sticks stuck in the ground around my campfire spot 8 inches tall at most. They were an eighth of an inch in diameter at best . I thought for sure someone was playing a joke. I pulled them out and looked at them noticed they had been sharpened to a point on the end that was stuck in the ground . I set them behind where I was sitting got up to get something out of my food bucket. And when I went to look at them again they were gone. Then all hell broke out up toward spotted loui trail sounded like 2 trees being beat together. This went on for five minutes or so. I just stayed in camp. I don't carry weapons but a knife and an axe.Another weird thing is I bought a wind up flashlight that has a radio built in as well. But the radio never worked but that night it did(i was allways messing with it to try to get it to work) and all I could get was a basketball playoff game when the game was over the radio died again and to this day it still doesn't work. Thats my story of weirdness in the wilderness. Take care.

Just wondering why it's not compulsory to carry a PLB (Personal Locator Beacon) or even Flares on you when camping or hiking?
@sharong85115 жыл бұрын
I don’t know if it’s compulsory anywhere but it’s certainly a good idea. I personally wouldn’t go hiking without one, and without a small survival kit. I had a teacher in high school who taught us how to make fire, a shelter, and how to make safe drinking water, along with how to catch a fish with a safety pin and some fishing line. It was a progressive school for the times, in the 1970s. It was called an alternative school and the six months I was there I learned more than all of the years in a conventional high school.
@Dozza705 жыл бұрын
@@sharong8511 It seems to make perfect sense to have those couple of items. They are not heavy and don't take up a lot of room at all. I know this may sound stupid to some people but when I go out bush in the Aussie Outback gold detecting, I take a fishing reel and line. Then I cable tie it to my belt at my back and set the drag. I am able to go pretty far as it has quite a lot of fishing line. You can get lost easily out there with your head down detecting. So to be able to find my way back is to just reel myself back to camp or car. I also have and carry a PLB. Carrying a whistle is also a good idea. In Australia the authorities have now started to send people that get lost without carrying a PLB, a bill for the search and rescue. It's not only the person lost or missings life that's on the line but also the rescuers. So maybe holding them responsible is a great idea and well deserved.
@roberthennel5 жыл бұрын
same thought here, in these huge national parks, I would make them compulsory under penalty. TBH, in Australia, I would never dare to go anywhere without a PLB, I am from a small and densely populated Central European countries, we are just not used to what emptiness and wilderness really are.
@roberthennel5 жыл бұрын
oh and the whistle is a very good idea indeed. Have a friend who was driving his quad just behind his village, at a marshy edge of the woods, he ran into a ditch with his right wheels, turned over and got stuck under the quad in a dense, bushy undergrowth, slightly injured. Of course, his friends and family went searching for him as soon as he failed to return home in the evening and he said that he could literally see the lights of their lamps and hear their voices a few meters away, but they could not see him at all. the bushes "swallowed" hims so well that he was undetectable from 2 meters. He did not have a whistle on him back then and eventually they did find him, but now he always carries one in his jacket

After watching 25+ of these fantastically done videos and using some pattern refactoring analysis I have learned across an odd career of military, intelligence agency, military security consultant, engineer and analytics guy with a current focus on at-risk behavioral pattern correction, I have developed a working theory that explains a great deal of these disappearances/deaths based on additional research I have done on a sampling of your video victims and an analysis of the environmental variables in each case. I will submit to you that once you factor out a small percentage of them to intentional random homicide/abduction that we all know occurs very rarely (ask any LE official random victims are a rarity) in rural and urban areas alike, we are left with mainly explainable accidental deaths due to directional miscalculation (getting lost), corrective action miscalculation (wrong decisions compounding the problem), physical injuries common to rough terrain navigation (advanced aged hikers compounding this) and finally exposure and misinterpreted evidence that is common to victims of hypothermia. All of these factors could be contributors to hikers overestimating their capabilities and physical limitations turning what naively was considered to be routine hike into a death march. NOTE: 1)A large number of these incidents happened at transitional times of the year where the evening temperatures are around or lower the magical 50 degree mark where hypothermia occurs (the temp can be higher if wind chill and rain are present) but victims may not be prepared for this drop especially on day hikes when the temp is much higher and the victim is now aware of how fast temps can change when weather fronts are coming in to the areas (accounting for inclement weather seeming to “follow” these disappearances (June, Mid to Late Aug, Sep, Oct seem to have inordinate amounts of these incidents). 2) Bodies found at higher elevations would be predictable behavior of someone trying to gain visual advantage to plan an exit strategy, this can compound a distressed situation by exposing a lost hiker to colder temps, expending more energy, and putting them at risk of falling when they are losing strength and cognitive skills. 3) The fact that bodies are found far from "where the hiker was supposed to be" just means that the hiker was lost, could have compounded the situation by traveling the wrong way at a brisk pace to race darkness and heading toward sounds, structures or lights they mistakenly take as safe havens. Distressed people do not make rational decisions. Searchers seem to project rational behavior on to lost souls all too often. Finally, some search efforts just make assumptions in the wrong place (see the lost Germans in Death Valley and others like it). 4) Clothes and shoes are missing from bodies - a late stage symptom of hypothermia is called "paradoxical undressing" which occurs when a hypothermia victim's blood vessels near the body's surface are constricted muscularly to preserve heat for the organs. This is particularly exacerbated in extremities farthest from organs (feet). After the body continues to lose core body temp the muscles constricting the blood vessels finally fail and hot blood streams into the cold extremities creating a burning feeling to victims who are semi lucid. The natural reaction is "paradoxical undressing", the victim removing their clothes they feel will remedy the pain. 5) Bodies not being found but equipment, clothes and shoes turning up - the final symptom of hypothermia is a symptom called "terminal burrowing" where the victim involuntarily digs or attempts to secret themselves into tight places in what is thought to be an involuntary function or instinct done by the body in desperation for survival in a doomed situation. "Terminal Burrowing" would create conditions where if all of the above modalities are in place would account for an unclothed body being far off course, at a higher than typical elevation without any gear and in many cases the victim having unconsciously wedged themselves into a tight spot, dug out hole or crevasse that would account for bodies not being found by searchers including canines who's ability to smell a concealed body, possibly mummifying itself at an elevation above it would be compromised. I am in total agreement with the statements that the Park agencies do not want the DANGER of these parks to be well know due to potential loss revenue so not saying that there is zero “conspiracy”. I think the conspiracy is after-the-fact however, hiding not an X-files like Governmental conspiracy but not wanting to tell vacationers and paid visitors that "it's easy to get you and your loved ones killed here". Thank you so much for these videos and the opportunity and inspiration for me to exercise my own past expertise in creating the above hypothesis. You have a viewer and Fan for life. God Bless these unfortunates and their families. Never hike alone!
