I was really surprised to see Koh Phi Phi in the top spot. I stayed 2 nights there on my first solo trip to Thailand, and it's one of those places you wish you could spend a month. The speedboat tour of the Phi Phi Islands was one of the highlights of the entire trip. I went to Thailand just to get away, and reconnect with an old love... PHOTOGRAPHY.. haha That country is a photographer's dream. I got some of the best sunset photos I've ever taken at Phi Phi, and Phuket.

The big problem is that mass tourism took over Phi Phi and destroys more and more of the environment there.. even in this Covid time the little Island was stuffed with people. The huge number of hotels, speedboats and tourists all around pollutes the water and bring the death to most of the corals in the little reef around Phi Phi. Another fact is that sadly the Thai natives don't have any advantage out of this tourists situation, because the biggest amount of money is earned by the big speedboat companies that only pay theire Thai employees a minimum wage. It's the sad truth about this popular tourists destination.

I have been at Koh Samui Island my first time in Asia Unhapply I thought very close to Porto Seguro,Bahia,Brazil 🇧🇷 Here we can eat more and different things The strong sun,beachs,the strong nature from the Ocean Diving and so many things more Only 3 hours flying from my city But it was a very good experience

I'm so lucky that I have been to most of these islands either by day trips or staying the nights there. Been to Thailand 4 times: 1st visit: Bangkok and Phuket (did day trips to Koh Phi Phi and Similan Islands) 2nd visit: Bangkok, Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Koh Tao then Phuket again 3rd visit: Krabi/Ao Nang, Koh Yao Noi, Koh Phi Phi, Koh Lanta and Koh Lipe (and visited Koh Muk as a stop from Koh Lanta to Koh Lipe) 4th visit: Krabi/Ao Nang

@@ibtesamwassay3921 I think not but it does go down to preference. I've not been to Koh Chang. Here is the 9 of the 10 that I have visited from worst to best: 9. Phuket 8. Koh Phangan 7. Koh Muk 6. Koh Lanta 5. Similan Islands 4. Koh Tao 3. Koh Samui 2. Koh Lipe 1. Koh Phi Phi 1-3 - Amazing; 4-7 - Very Good; 8 - OK; 9 - not good Koh Yao Noi was very good too. Although Railey is a peninsula on the mainland, it is only accessible by boat from Krabi or Ao Nang and that whole peninsula (Tonsai, West Railey and Phra Nang) is spectacular.

@@ibtesamwassay3921 It is worth noting that Similan Islands is done as a day trip from Phuket. Koh Phi Phi can also be done as a day trip from either Phuket or Krabi/Ao Nang. Krabi/Ao Nang and Phuket are well known holiday destinations in Southern Thailand - personally Krabi/Ao Nang is much better if you want peace and relaxation, plus you can do many island hopping tours including Railey Peninsula, Day trip to Phi Phi, Day trip to Hong Islands, The 4 Islands Tour, James Bond Island Tour (this can be done from Phuket as well) and some inland tourist spots in Krabi Province like Tiger Cave Temple and Emerald Pool. Phuket is more for shopping and entertainment, which is not for me although a few beaches like Kata and Surin are nice, and worth seeing Wat Chalong Temple, Promthep Cape, Big Buddha and Karon viewpoint.. I hope that helps

I visited all of them in your list, and more, multiple times. most beautiful overall is Similan most beautiful & convenient is Lipe. Boating from Lipe is Koh Rang islands, the most beautiful seas most beautiful beach (if no crown) is Maya bay, Phi Phi best snockling + convenient is Koh Tao best 5-star resort is koh samui most beautiful closest to Bangkok, Koh Samed

I'm Thai and scuba diving is one of my favorite hobbies. So I have been to all these islands on the list multiple times. for me Koh Tachai should be on the list as it is one of the most beautiful island, sofest and fluffiest white sand that I ever step on and one of the most beautiful underwater landscape at their pinnacle. Koh Kood, Koh Haa, Koh Kradan and Koh Rok also better than many islands on this list imo.

Not surprised that Koh Phi Phi is number 1, it deserves that crown. Visited there in 2004 before tsunami from Kuala Lumpur landed in Phuket. I'm Indonesian and living in Malaysia at that time. There are 2 Phi Phi Islands; Phi Phi Leh, the smaller Phi Phi is much more beautiful than its big brother, Phi Phi Don where the accommodations are.

Thailand has 936 islands. More than half of islands, 491 islands located in marine national park. After that under the care of local government and some of islands under Navi for Public security. i am Thai, by watching this video, make me want to visit all of this10 islands. 10.Ko muk never visit yet 9.Ko lanta never visit yet 8.Similan islands 1 time visit very very beautiful and there also have secret blue lagoon. 7.Ko Samui 4-5 times visit, this island very very hot weather 6.Phuket i l am living here as full time mom of 3 kids, i love phuket so much, very beautiful island, Phuket is huge and have many beautiful beaches. i do not visit all of beaches here yet. 5.Ko phangan 1 time visit, i live there 3 months as part time worked on summer. quiet, fresh air and feeling like living in real island. far from main land 3 hours on ferry from mainland and things on the island is expensive. Koh samui more cheap than Ko phangan only 1 hour on ferry. 4.Ko chang never visit 3.Ko Lipe never visit 2.Ko Tao never visit 1.Ko phi phi never visit
