The green children isn't unsolved, I think. If I remember rightly they were from Belgium and were green from working with clothing dyes. They only ate vegetables because that's all they had been eating in the woods. They boy died but the girl became a maid to a royal or noble woman

Matthew left out a great deal of the lighthouse story that increases the mystery. During the search of the lighthouse, the logbook was examined for any clues to the missing men's whereabouts, and what they read confused them all. In the book was a description of their growing fear during what seemed, to the three men, an unnatural storm. It went into detail of the terrifying storm and its effects on them. Yet there had been no storm! The weather all around the area had been calm! So what was that storm? Did the men simultaneously go insane? Doesn't seem likely. Makes me shiver to think about what happened on that lonely piece of terra firma!

Hi! Big fan of the channel, love your videos! I actually live in Suffolk, England and I'm about ten minutes down the road from Woolpit so I thought I should throw my two cents in. I grew up with this legend and, as it turns out, the two children were just orphans from another region of England. They had unusual, heavy, regional accents that sounded like another language compared to a Suffolk accent (Which believe me, sounds like another language in itself) and as time went on, the kids adopted a Suffolk accent so it seemed like they were learning the local English language when really they were just losing their regional accent. As for the unusual clothes, that was because of the way the wool was spun. Suffolk was one of the most agriculturally active places during this time and they had perfected the spinning of wool to make clothes. So the children's clothes would have been made by a less refined process and would have appeared alien to those living in Suffolk, who would not be rich enough to import clothes from anywhere and would be used to clothes made by the refined process Suffolk coined. As for the green skin? Unfortunately this story is not proof of green men from Mars. The green colour of their skin actually comes from the colours their clothes were dyed in. Again, Suffolk had more refined processes and the dyes the children used on their clothes ran quite often and dyed their skin permanently, making them green. (It's believed the dyes were made from nettles but any green plant would have roughly the same affect). The loose dye in their clothes, coupled with the unavailability of having frequent washes meant the children's skin would be dyed green for a long time. But when they moved to Suffolk, were taken in, and given access to bathing and new clothes that had been properly dyed with correct techniques, the green colour would have eventually faded. Sorry for the long-winded comment, but I covered this story a lot in my history classes back home so I know it pretty well and thought I should share. Love your videos! Can't wait for the next ones! Thanks!

Um on number 3... Who forgets about their kids like that!? Especially when there is a fire!? I feel like they probably killed those kids somehow for some reason, and hid them somewhere, then at the last minute when things wasn't going according to plan, they tried to cover up the fact that their kids were nowhere to be found, by setting the fire. Then when the detective figured it out, they killed him too. That's just what I think!

Aye mate, I love your videos. But the last one for this one has a lot of missing info. The mystery WAS solved. It was due to the way the wind came over the dome of the mountain; it literally drove them insane from the pressure around their ears. Also the female hiker who was missing her tongue and eyes; that was determined to be done by scavenger animals. The tears in the tent came from them trying to get out quickly, so ask to escape the intense noise. The other injured hikers were from falling several feet into a ravine. There's a great book called the Dyatlov Pass Incident that explains it all, and how this was all finally discovered and proven.
@laurene9885 жыл бұрын
That's what the murderous yeti wants you to think
@frankboff12605 жыл бұрын
Those in the ravine suffered internal injuries more consistent with having suffered a huge fall not one of just a few feet. That theory might sound feasible but it certainly doesn’t mean this case is ‘solved’. The missing tongue wasn’t ‘determined’ to have been a result of scavengers but theorised only. Since it occurred so long ago it we will more than likely only ever have theories.
@she_sings_delightful_things5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the info!!
@marusapenic5 жыл бұрын
Possibly, but then again what if it was something else than the wind. And no I don’t mean supernatural, but bomb testing, there were high levels of radiation and the military did bomb testing not far away. Yes they said that they wouldn’t go that far into the area, but what if they did, I mean they couldn’t have known that there were people there, so it’s completely possible. And what if a bang woke the hikers up and in panic they clawed their way out and ran away, falling in the process.

Sarah Cohen I recently saw an episode of Cold Case on CI that talked about it, the episode was pretty old so it could have been solved since then but they said there were a few options including a string of suicides, a recent ship wreck and an island or coast had been flooded which left a lot of people missing

Lemmino did a good video figuring out the facts from fiction and explaining what happened. Time and exaggeration have turned it into more of a mystery than it really was. A good number of the stories here have similar more ordinary explanations that have been lost. We can't resist a good scary mystery, even if we have to make it up!
@cosimoto87005 жыл бұрын
I get how there can be more info added, but not everyone wants to watch a 1hour long video. He gave us the basic idea of these stories while still making it intriguing. And Without looking these stories up, you still get a pretty good idea of how things went. I believe he probably purposfully doesnt put ALL of the info bc like I said, not everyone wants to watch a 1hour long video and he has to make money so he kinda has to cater to those people as well.;-;

There's actually new evidence that suggest Jack the ripper may actually be Mary the ripper think about it.. women couldn't do much in Victorian England and Jack the Ripper was assumed to be a male because of this.. wouldn't it stand to reason that Jack The ripper was never actually caught because He may very well have been a She nobody suspected women of crimes back then either

Lots of stuff is "claimed" but unless someone somewhere acknowledges it, it's not "official". An American author had a theory in the early 2000's that a British artist did the Ripper murders. She actually bought some letters the dude wrote from his estate collection & bought a Ripper envelope & ran the DNA from a stamp. IT MATCHED!!! & guess what? Because he was a "registered artist laureate" of the British Empire, it was NEVER announced or otherwise acknowledged. It's just more proof that if England refuses to acknowledge something solved right under their noses, NOTHING involving them will ever matter a hill of beans. They actually "poo-poo'ed" the whole matter & dismissed it flippantly as balderdash from an uncouth Anerican. So...there ya go.

@christineparis56076 жыл бұрын
there are only two genders If you read a detailed account of this case, you will see why it could not be pranksters. It sounds incredible, but this well documented (for the time) mystery is still very strange. Remember that these people were fairly poor, living in primitive conditions, no heating except for open fires, the weather was extremely cold, and people did not have access to much warm clothing. There is much more. Check it out.

No way it was pranksters. First of all, 30 miles? That's a bit much. Especially in a time when there was no real artificial light, they would have been in pitch black night in freezing weather. Also, over rooftops, walls and fences? And at that time, passing through people's property and on their houses, you'd have been shot before you made it 30 miles. There is just way too much against it being a prank.

so number 1, i read somewhere that the group used a portable stove, a fact that's always missing when people bring up the story. if that is indeed true, then a malfunction of that stove could have been why they left their shelter in a hurry. eyes and tongues are two of the most common body parts first preyed upon by scavengers so a body missing its eyes and tongue isn't all that mysterious.

The feet found floating in sneakers were from the 2011 tsunami in Japan after people were washed away and drowned their feet floated across the ocean in currents. The sneakers caused the feet to become detached from the bodies because sneakers can float and bodies decompose and bones sink. They also found feet in sneakers floating on beaches in the northwest United States.

4 is kind of prejudiced. Juts 'cause a guy has hooves, he has to be evil, huh? Seriously, though, the oldest statue of Moses has horns. It wasn't until much later that they were associated with the devil. Hooves being devilish also came much later. Is it possible that the devil wants you to think he has horns and hooves, so when a messiah with those traits shows up, you attack, and when the devil, without those traits, shows up, you follow?
@jakespacepiratee37406 жыл бұрын
God hates things that pevert his creations, half-human creatures are not looked upon highly in the kingdom of heaven. Anything that is different is seen as Evil. That's why the Devil assumes such a form. There is no such heavenly being that has the form resembling an animal, all of those are demons.

Regarding the feet showing up on beaches.......perhaps they belong to people who are already dead. Think about it: Even in open casket funerals, you never see the person's feet! Maybe some sicko mortician is having some fun by removing the feet of his...... um, customers, before they are interred. This would explain why no other body parts are washing up and no one has shown up saying that they lost their feet!! Officers in Canada and the American NW ought to be canvassing funeral homes, crematoriums and such.
@alyssabrown-carleton61736 жыл бұрын

talitakoomi People who are dead in funeral homes pretty much never wear Nike's. They are always dressed in formal wear. Besides, the funeral crazy guy would have to hire a boat to get far out into the current for the feet to be caught up and distributed. They couldn't just throw them at the water all up and down three states...
