Great Figma Bruce lee pose. I was definitely disappointed with the mafex bvs figures, mafex c3po, sideshow collectibles jawas, the latest ultimate Freddy from neca, the Mattel thundercats line but only because it was canceled...and everything captain phasma except the hot toys because it looks great in my display

I really don't agree with the S.H. Figuarts Pikachu. There's no way to make a Pikachu with good articuation without messing up the sculpt a bit, which is a worthy trade in my eyes. It's the only good option for a Smash Brothers collection and it still actually looks like Pikachu.

the problem is that everything thats wrong with it isnt justified by the articulation because it is also horrible. Additionally, He is far out of scale with the other Smash characters so there is almost not reason to have this... especially now that Ash and Red are being made with properly scaled Pokemon.

I barely collect figures these days but when I do, it something I'm passionate about. With that said the SH Figuarts Armored Trunks is the most disappointing figure I got last year for 2, maybe 3 reasons. 1.) why would they make the head sculpt too big to swap with the original trunks? 2.) His legs almost don't allow him to stand for some reason 3.) his best super Saiyan face is forever looking off to the side

I would add on with 1-->SHF black panther could give us a good claw hand, and also the unmasked headsculpt. 2--> SHF Black widow: i just feel that the skin colour and the face wasn't what I expect it could be. 3-->SHF Omegamon (2016release) for the price bring, and hip joint should have concealed the screw hole, and the cape, why not wired cape like mafex BVS series~ its clumsy to pose it and the cape paint job is rather lazy. of course these are very subjective opinions :)

Funnily, this might be the only advantage of living in Brazil, regarding action figures. Figures arrive here about 1-3 months after release, and I usually already saw enough reviews not to get what is disappointing (you being my top choice as reviewer, your reviews are my main source of information). That said, my biggest disappointment are not figures I bought. Hot toys was a big disappointment in general, since I realized that, as good as they are, all the maintenance and small issues (which seem to increase, imo, for instance, Rei's teeth, Batman's butt, Deadpool wrist and the overall rubbery fabric) makes them not worth it. My main disappointment was Comicave's lack of respect for their public. 1st deciding to skip Starboost which was already in pre-order (and later, 2 more armors), even after implying (I actually think that they stated, but I'm not sure) that they would release all House Party Protocol Armors. Then deciding that Hulkbuster would have a limited 1.500 pieces production run, considering that the figures expected to arrive in Brazil in May have not arrived yet (which will make hulkbuster impossible to get). Those were my main disappointments this year. Edit: I just remembered that I bought one figure that I was on the fence and was a disappointment, but it's an oldie: Play Arts Kai - Faora. I noticed there were a lot of import figures on this list. I agree that they always are too overpriced for the US. The Mattel stuff is plastic puke. I only disagree with the TAS batman figures. I've loved what has come out and to have stuff like that now is pretty good, though I tend to cherry pick the line for the ones I really liked.

I'm surprised you put the bushido batman on the list. Other than lacking some themes it's actually not a bad figure, and I particularly liked steampunk batman because of the amount of details and sculpt put into it. I thought you'd throw in the Play Arts BvS figures instead. I think those were way more disappointing than Batgirl or the timeless series

My least favourite figures, that I picked up, figuarts captain America and ultron, mafex first order storm trooper and the vulcanlog yugioh dark side of dimensions figures. Didn't pick anything up I thought I'd be disappointed in like the pikachu. My favourites were vah sanji, figma yugi and nendoroid Kirby

Ball joints on bat girls cape could they not be bothered to make it out of cloth and put wire round the edges . Personally would of actual looked like a cape and you could still pose it.

Awesome video and a great list Anthony. The only thing I disagree with is Steampunk Batman. All your reasoning behind having him on the list is sound but my love of the punk and his look just won't let my brain accept it LOL. As for my most disappointing figure that distinguisht award goes to the power rangers legacy thunder megazord for all of the damn Q.C. issues and poor design for the very high price point. .

Well it didn't come quite as I expected, IMO PA Kai Arkham knight batman is the worst, the BVS line is also a mess, I actually like those variant figures quite a bit, but well I'm a forgiving person when it comes to figures like those... Great list! My most disappointing figure of 2016 would have to be the Figma Kiryu from the Yakuza series. In the promo shot he looked lime a more anime styled version of the character. The final paint apps and head sculpt are terrible! Almost looks like a KO of itself! Looks nothing like the character.

the line is terrible. most of the sculpts are bad. most of the paint is bad. all of the articulation is terrible. they break. they are 100% a nostalgia cash grab. only thing they have over the originals is the size.

the sculpts are perfect to me, i've got 10+ figures and none of them have broke. pretty sure it was just the first batman which no one got anyway because it was the new animated version. they are basically the only non import line i collect anymore, they shit all over sw black series and marvel legends. oh and the paint apps are pretty much perfect, same style used on wwe elite line and motu classics. MUCH better than the shitty gloss style that 90% of american toy companies use on their figs these days
