@@anthonyqiu1442 Anthony Nan Qiu So true. Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter started out as 'Darling' instrumental indie cover band; the current recording name derives from a review in U.K. music weekly Melody Maker of a compilation tape Darling were featured on, released by Krautrock revivalists Stereolab (their lo-fi D.I.Y. cover of a Beach Boys song was derided as "daft punk"). So 'sampling Funk' as you say makes sense because they were all Funk / Indie Pop focused until they went to that fateful rave party in gayee Paris' and discovered electronica. You already know this but most of the fanbase doesn't. Doctor Mix kind of butchered the 'Faster, Better..' vocoder cover but yeah one can only do so much. 😛 But you my friend, definitely know the score.

@ThomasColeFZ4 жыл бұрын
@@Doctormix after doing a little research it looks like the Roland VP-03 might be what I need. I find it strange that it lacks a line Input to send carrier signal to it but has a built in sequencer ??? .The sequencer COULD be REALLY useful but I'd sure like to be able to send my own carrier signal to it. Seems like that feature would really enhance its capabilities. I don't see much else in this range that has carrier in besides EH V256 which lacks some other features I need. Regarding footprint: I've got 2 control boards for my live setup right now Studiologic Numa Compact 2 for weighted controller and Arturia Keylab Essential 61. Both small profile/footrprint and light. I need to keep the tier number to two. I've tried 3 tier and separate tier many moons ago and didn't like either. Most of my live setup is triggered by Keylab. It has excellent MIDI control flexibility and I can't see changing it. If I had to add another board for vocoder it would expand the stuff I need to carry for live gigs by more than just another board(in this case the VC340). As you get older(like me) it gets harder to move all this stuff around and size/weight becomes increasingly important. Thanks for the advice and best wishes.
