Sir, there's an even easy way to solve the last question.. You can put the time for thief and police as (n+1) and (n) respectively and the speed will become 100 for the thief which is also (d for both) and 100 + 10n for the police where 'n' is minutes. The thief will start at a=100 and the police will start at nil. No need to do any other steps because the An th term of both is the distance travelled and is the same. Put them equal and u will get the same quad eq..
