Per the Ancient Architect KZbin video, there is water at the bottom of the staircase in the desert. It is odd how open it is, but otherwise, they dug down (cutting stairs as they went) until they hit water.

'The Roman Well', or the 'Mysterious staircase' was very recently photographed and excavated by an independent researcher (The news released 15th of Feb 2021). The photos and videos of the excavation can be found on YT channel 'Ancient Architects', under the title 'EXCLUSIVE: See Inside the Mysterious Ancient Staircase Shaft in the Egyptian Desert'. Go check it out, it's interesting :)

That blank scroll found in the jar should be checked to see if its actually blank if it hasnt already. Cause theyve already found "blank" pieces of the scrolls that actually have writings on them.

According to the person who found the staircase, she was ordered to stop at a depth of 80 feet by the Egyptian Antiquities Department and Dr. Zahe Hawas. The trajectory of the staircase puts its endpoint somewhere below the Giza Plateau in the direction of the Great Pyramid and the Sphynx.

I'm sorry, but that dinosaur discovery isn't new... its been years that it's been out. Coming up 4 years now. The staircase was found 3 years ago... please don't call these "recent" when they aren't. They're fascinating, but years old.
@DroseraNes82
@DroseraNes82 3 жыл бұрын
Most recent applies to the past 10 years and in some cases from the early 2000s in the archeology world due to the amount of research that goes into it. So something found 3 years ago is rather recent especially if it takes months to excavate, months to piece together and not to mention the ongoing research to know the why, the where, the who and the how.

haloo, Katrina darlin! good ole near east and middle east. can always count on new discoveries from those areas. Egypt, Israel, Iraq and Iran, Turkey, India and more. the cradle of civilization. the oldest cultures are found there. and the longest continuously abiding people yet found. the Egyptians had virtually the same society for at least 4,000 yrs. so far, the longest run of any civilization. amazing! keeps me humble. my civilization can only claim maybe 2,000 yrs. and it has not remained as unchanged for all that time. no wonder there are so many discoveries in those areas. way cool, Kat! until next time, stay well, stay safe and know we love you! Bye!

I would like to see a video focused on why women dominated the transport business in turkey. Was that particular woman an anomaly and if not, what cultural or environmental conditions gave rise to this. It would seem that the caravans would be susceptible to bandits,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, military guard required ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, typically male profession,,,,,,,,, why?

Good. Now list men in business in the same period. Oh, you can't because there are too many of them? Maybe that means my original point is valid: women in NO WAY "ruled trade routes". "People who try to squeeze quotes to do the job of actual critical thinking are incredibly stupid and should keep their mouths closed." - Me.

PS: Boudica was semi legendary and had nothing to do with trade, being a single case of a female war chief among Northern Celts. She belongs in this list about as much as you belong in a serious discussion about real history.

@thehowlingjoker
@thehowlingjoker 3 жыл бұрын
@@dustydison1883 We're never done studying anything. We also use the artifacts to teach and educate. The reason we have them is because we were some of the first people to start looking for items with historical value, we wanted to learn about ancient cultures and peoples so we brought back artifacts to study. The Egyptians had already robbed most of the tombs, sold what was valuable and ground the mummies corpses up to be sold as 'medicine'. It's lucky we found what we did when we did as they at the time didn't hold the items in such high regard. Museums holding artifacts is a good thing, it keeps them out of the hands of private owners and people who would misuse and damage them. The artifacts are safer in London than in Egypt.
