And they are trained occasionally with Russian, Israeli & British counter-parts. 2) India has the biggest & most skilled mountain army in the world. They fight on world's highest battlefield *Siachen* among Himalayan range. 3) India has 4th highest quantity of tanks & artilleries which primarily include Russian *T-90* tanks. 4) India has 4th biggest Airforce in the world which includes *Rafale* & Russian *Su-30 & Mig-29* 5) Indian pilots are occasionally trained with Russia, Israel, UK, USA & Japan. Though, they are not as good as USA & UK pilots but also not too behind 👍 6) Indian Navy is 5th biggest Navy in the world in quantity. 7) Indian Navy personnels also receive occasional training from Russia, USA, UK, Japan & Australian counter-parts. @@matsamusic "helicopter carriers which has a ramp"... The UK has two 70,000 tonne aircraft carriers that can carry up to 60 aircraft each including the fixed wing stealth 5th gen F-35... Even though the STOVL model has to carry less they can still carry large amounts and are boosted by having the ramps which increase the take off weights. They are a massive leap over the Invincible class and Harrier jets. Remember also France only has one carrier with 4th gen non-stealth jets, the UK has two carriers with 5th gen stealth jets. The UK can guarantee at least one carrier at sea at anytime, France cannot. The UK also has a large support fleet of over a dozen large tankers and stores transport ships to support the carriers, France has 3 small tankers. Remember that even nuclear carriers still need support ships for things like jet fuel, food, ammo, spare parts etc.

@@glastonbury4304 Again, they are Amphibious Assault Ships and are labelled as such by the countries that use them, because they are used for that purpose. There is no other reason for a helicopter carrier to exist other than to transport troops to the shore. They also all carry marine battalions ready to be transported by air or sea from this ships. The F-35s on these ships serves the same purpose as the Harriers that used to be on them: to provide support for the landing marines. You can also see from this video that Russia has a huge fleet of landing ships. Russia was supposed to purchase two Mistrial AASs from France a few years back, but France screwed the Russians over in the end so now Russia is designing and building their own. Russia has no VTOL combat aircraft in service aside from helicopters, and the reason why they want these ships is to provide helicopter support for their marines in landing craft.

Cavour is designated as Aircraft carrier, and that it is it's only purpose. Garibaldi was designed as helicopter carrier because of the limits imposed to Italy( ex axis country) after WW2. Like Japan it was not allowed to have carriers, and went around it.

This video is from 2019 and since then China has 7 carrier type vessels in service or being built (4 x CV carriers and 3 x LSH helicopter carriers) plus hundreds of modern PLA Navy combat and support vessels. The CCG coastguard has 1,400 vessels including 300 large and medium sized, the MSA maritime safety agency has 820 vessels including many larger ocean going and the CRS rescue and salvage service has 200 larger vessels. The PAPF armed police and the PSB civilian police both have hundreds of mostly small vessels as well. The above mentioned forces are all government owned and operated agencies and all will come under the control and command of the PLA Navy in certain circumstances.

What this video doesn't show is the quality and capabilities of each vessel, after the Falklands War, the Royal Navy decided to go for fewer larger more powerful vessels than lots of smaller vessels. This was from lessons learned, you will see that the size of Royal navy vessels has increased significantly since Falklands hence, 70,000 tonne carriers and 8500 tonne destroyers etc.

@odegaard They have been modernize the Cruisers. As for the hulls ones that can't be repaired will be moth ball. Just reminder here are some Navy building program: Ford Class Aircraft Carriers. LCS class Ships. Burke class Destroyers. Zumwalt class Destroyers. AMERICA class Helicopter/ Aircraft Carriers. Assortment of service ships. F-35's Attack/Fighters Jets. Los Angeles Nuclear Attack Submarines. Columbia Nuclear Ballistic Submarines. Those don't include other projects. I do agree they need a new Cruisers. But you can only do so much. Past leadership let military become old and worn-out. This isn't going to be fix in four years.

To put everything into perspective, Japan's navy is the newest navy on earth, meaning that they retire there ships usually on their 10 to 15th birthday. You can check how many ships they inaugurate every year, those ships are usually replacing other ships that to any other navy on earth are perfectly fine but to the Japanese they are old. So when it comes to equipment, how modern those equipment is, and the strength of those equipment, only country above Japan is US. The only reason Japan is 4th is that they don't have the numbers that US, Russia and China has.

@@bogueji1 Well, you are right in saying that their ship's quality is good and they are top of the line with the newest technology but you should remember that wars are one not by superior technology but simplicity and innovation. In the second world war, the Germans built great and modern tanks which were extremely complicated and time consuming to maintain, costly to build and difficult to operate. The soviets massed the T-34 which had its original design with not much modern technology but simple but useful innovations and it was easy to maintain, cheap to build and you could train people to drive it easily. Same goes for the battle of Britain where the British won not due to superior technological planes but the inherent designs of the spitfire made it good and when the design itself is advantageous it does not get obsolete as quick as the modern technology. The British were also able to repair and maintain their planes better with small but effective improvements being made to the plane. An example of modern technology is like a new optic sensor for a tank, it will become obsolete in less than a decade but the inherent engineering or design innovation can be called as the sloped armor which was first majorly mass used in t he T-34 but it is still effective today.

While the USA currently has the most capable navy, both China and Russia have been seriously upgrading their capabilities. At the end of the day, it’s just really those 3 that count, with honorable mention for France and Japan. The USA has been hollowing out its fleet for the last 30 years and is having a tough time upgrading its fleet and replacing tired vessels as they reach the end of their lives. It has tossed out much of its supporting infrastructure to upgrade, repair and replace them. Russia has lots of published fleet failures such as its constantly broken aircraft carrier, but it has been making smart decisions on what it wants its current and future fleet to look like and what its mission set is. It’s got a lot of solid punching capability it’s not being given due credit for. China has been on a modernization binge un paralleled by anyone for the last 40 years. It’s producing a well rounded all aspect navy which will have the resources, capacity and depth of strength to enforce its national policy goals. It may not be up to US navy standards, yet, but it is closing the gap quite rapidly. Quantity counts. China is making sure its quantity is there, and it’s rapidly improving its quality. The Chinese bench is growing in strength and full of young new Faces and toys gaining experience, the US bench is shrinking fast. Many of its players are no longer young and fresh and their toys are getting old and used up and are heading for the beach.
