10 Muharram Ki Ahmiyat | Muharram Ul Haram Ki Fazilat | Youm E Ashura Ki Fazilat | Faysal Islamic
In this video, we delve into the profound significance of the 10th of Muharram, known as Youm-e-Ashura, and explore the virtues of the sacred month of Muharram. Join us as we uncover the historical and spiritual importance of these pivotal moments in the Islamic calendar.
The Sacred Month of Muharram
Muharram, the first month of the Islamic lunar calendar, is one of the four sacred months in Islam. It is a time of reflection, worship, and heightened spirituality. The word "Muharram" itself means "forbidden," indicating the special sanctity of this month. During Muharram, Muslims are encouraged to increase their good deeds, seek forgiveness, and draw closer to Allah (SWT).
The Significance of 10th Muharram - Youm-e-Ashura
The 10th day of Muharram, known as Ashura, holds immense historical and religious significance for Muslims worldwide. This day marks several important events:
Prophet Musa (AS) and the Exodus: One of the most notable events commemorated on Ashura is the miraculous rescue of Prophet Musa (AS) and the Children of Israel from Pharaoh's tyranny. Allah (SWT) parted the Red Sea, allowing them to escape, and this day is observed as a reminder of Allah's mercy and power.
Prophet Noah (AS) and the Ark: It is also believed that on this day, Prophet Noah’s (AS) Ark came to rest on Mount Ararat after the Great Flood, signifying the end of a difficult period and the beginning of a new chapter for humanity.
Martyrdom of Imam Hussain (AS): For Shia Muslims, Ashura is a day of mourning and remembrance for the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (AS), the grandson of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Imam Hussain's (AS) stand against tyranny and his ultimate sacrifice at the Battle of Karbala are honored and mourned, symbolizing the eternal struggle between truth and falsehood, justice and oppression.
Virtues and Practices of Ashura
Fasting: Fasting on the day of Ashura is highly recommended. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) observed fasting on this day and encouraged others to do so, stating that it expiates the sins of the previous year. It is also Sunnah to fast on the 9th and 10th or the 10th and 11th of Muharram to distinguish from the Jewish tradition.
Charity and Good Deeds: Ashura is an opportune time to engage in acts of charity and kindness. Helping the needy, feeding the hungry, and extending generosity to others are highly encouraged, reflecting the spirit of sacrifice and compassion.
Reflection and Prayer: Muslims are encouraged to engage in prayer, recitation of the Quran, and other acts of worship. It is a time to reflect on the lessons of Ashura and seek spiritual growth.
Lessons from Ashura
The events of Ashura teach us profound lessons in faith, patience, and resilience. They remind us of the importance of standing up for justice, maintaining unwavering faith in Allah (SWT), and the power of divine intervention in times of distress. The sacrifices made by Prophet Musa (AS), Prophet Noah (AS), and Imam Hussain (AS) serve as timeless examples of devotion, courage, and steadfastness.
Conclusion
As we observe the sacred month of Muharram and the day of Ashura, let us strive to embody the virtues and lessons they impart. May we strengthen our faith, increase our good deeds, and draw closer to Allah (SWT). Join us in this spiritual journey as we explore the significance and virtues of Muharram and Youm-e-Ashura.

Agar shahadat k gham ko mahsus kar k shadiyaan muharram me na ki jati hain to wo biddat nahi. Aur dus moharram ko khana khilane ka behad sawab bayaan kiya gaya hai.
