If you take loofah and cut it down one side, then cut the connecting sections from the center, you are left with a flat sheet. The shape is convenient as a washcloth or a general scrubby towel.

Ginger is also very effective for lowering blood pressure. Stinging nettles are also great for muscle aches and pains and is good for. Arthritis as well.

Exactly, I recently had a really bad cold and the congestion was making it very hard to sleep. I remembered my old Auntie and put a chopped up onion on a plate next to my pillow and it worked better at clearing my chest than the meds I had been taking. It wasn't a cure but I'm sure I got better faster by being able to sleep better.

I very much appreciate the information. The details on how to use most of these plants do seem a bit vague. "Some water" or "some vinegar" or "a little bit of.." is not specific enough for using them effectively. Where could I get more information about making up the various solutions?

There's a thousand recipes out there but when all is said and done they all work! I use straight apple cider vinegar with the rosemary for cleaning. Some people dilute, totally preference as to your tolerance of the smell.

Hi Elise, if you grow cucumbers in your garden, you may want to consider amaranth as a trap crop. It does incredibly well at trapping those dreaded cucumber beetles. The difference could not be more stark. The cucumber beetles just stick to the amaranth and eat it to shreds, but somehow leaves the cucumber plants alone. It's almost surreal. By the way, do bay leaves keep cockroaches at bay (no pun intended)? Thanks for all you do in sharing this info.

So many cool tips. I LOVED learning that sunshine mimosa and perennial peanut are nitrogen fixers. Makes me want to plant it instead of grass even more now. I also want to try the shampoo!

Shouldn’t be a problem because they have a tap root, much like how carrots grow.

clover is ok in cooler months but usually wont last the summer. I'm sitting on perennial peanut and sunshine mimosa lawn alternatives. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fHTXlnWFm9KfnLc

how does red-40 give u adhd?
@TheUrbanHarvest Жыл бұрын
It is often associated with many foods that are already incredibly high in sugars as is but there have been several links between food dyes themselves and a host of issues. www.southampton.ac.uk/news/2007/09/hyperactivity-in-children-and-food-additives.page

ADHD should not be included in your "pretty horrid stuff", it is a genetic trait, not something that you catch from something. There is nothing wrong with ADHD, it is simply a different way for human brains to function, think of it as an alternative normal. (Neurotypical and Neurodivergent) Some red food dye can affect certain individuals with ADHD, it does not cause ADHD. 🙂👍
