When I was in my forties, I started looking at older women who looked their age and looked good, to figure out what they were doing. I decided it was 2 things: a great haircut & a strong lip. I’ve tried all the high end lipsticks, but my favorite formula and cases are the satins from Guerlain. I have very dry lips too . These have some staying power for me, and the mirror case design is genius! Great summary!

I have worn the Lisa Eldridge new ones every day since I bought them, and I'll tell you why. They don't feather. I do use a lip liner, but liner makes no difference with feathering on me. It's all in the formula. Between Ashes of Roses and Medici, they work with everything. They stay on well, unless you eat. Then they come off completely. But reapplication is a cinch. So my new faves. That said, I just got the Merit 3 lipstick kit, and I'm surprisingly impressed. Again, no feathering and good length of wear. Plus I picked up Prada matte in Mahogany in the Sephora sale and that's another winner. But drying, so not my fave. Thanks for the review!💚

When we reach a certain age, we're at a point where we better appreciate luxury goods and don't mind paying for then, as we would have when younger. We appreciate quality and enjoy the whole 'luxury experience' that includes the packaging. I started looking at several brands more seriously after we finally got to remove our face masks and show off our lips again. I have battled with the worst dry lips for my entire life. No matter what I'd try, nothing would help solve the problem, yet I did come across many products that did make my lips feel wonderful and soft. I never throught I could possibly wear matte lipsticks, but times have certainly changed. Amongst my favourite lipsticks that I enjoy using now, in no particular order, are: 1) Burberry Brit Shine Lipstick, Satin, Pearly Satin (L/E) & Mattes 2) Dior Addict Lipsticks & adore those beautiful Cases 3) YSL Volupte, Bold & Rouge Pur Couture 4) Dolce & Gabbana Devotion Liquido in Mousse 5) Valentino's Matte Lipsticks (in the red packaging - glide on beautifully!) 6) Prada's Soft Matte 7) Byredo Liquid Lipstick Vinyl 8) Givenchy - Silk, Satin & Velvet 9) Givenchy Perfecto Lipsticks (sheer, yet pigmented) plus for those with dry lips, you must try the Perfecto Liquid Balms that provide colour, softness & long-lasting - both products a dream come true! 10) Rabanne Drama Lips, Metal Chrome & Famous Lips I could add more to this list, yet I have many of the above which definitely warrant being mentioned. I wanted to try Burberry's Brit Shine Lipstick, due to loving Burberry and never having issue with anything I've purchased from them. It was love at first try and I went on to buy twelve of the fifteen shades released. The only reason I didn't buy them all, was the other three were sold out. The packaging looks more stylish, in my opinion, than the Le Rouge 31, but at such a low price! Especially for the impeccable quality of these lipsticks, they are most definitely worth a try. I can't understand why no-one is trying these on YT.🤷🏼‍♀️ I have had issues with shiny lipsticks sliding from my lips, despite the fact I have no lines and have used a lip-primer, liner, invisible wax lip liner and even outlined the area around the lips with concealer. Some brands take this too far and the lipsticks are simply useless and never used again due to literally sliding off the lips. I had terrible trouble with Chantecaille's Lip Chic, yet adore their Lip Sheer/Balms from L/E releases. I've decided to shout myself a set of three Dries Van Noten Lipsticks and Cases, either for Christmas or for my birthday. I had to limit myself somewhere. I cannot condone the price of Hermes and therefore will not be paying full-price for these. I did purchase two TF Lipsticks on the 'second-hand market' at insane prices, but I haven't had an opportunity to try these out enough yet. Jen, a Top Ten Mascara, Liners - lip & eye, Blush etc. would be interesting if you want to continue with this Top Ten theme. I quite enjoyed this type of video. Thanks so much, Kris.🇦🇺💖👩🏼‍🎨

I loved this video. Your Czarina headband is so beautiful. It looks like it was created for you with your beautiful hair and skin. The cool toned blue of your scarf looks so elegant paired with the headband. In my opinion the blue headband is so much nicer than the white one with clear crystals. I have seen the Czarina for the past few years and have only seen the white one. I guess they sell a lot of them to brides. Jennifer Behr headbands are the best! I treated myself to a few things this past week during their sitewide sale.

Thanks for the suggestions, I will try the Suqqu ones, since I haven't, yet. I recently came to the conclusion that the Hermès satin formula and the Dolce & Gabbana mousse liquid (the everkiss) formula are my favourite ones.

I do not purchase for packaging, but this could persuade me to change my ways😄 I have lines around my lips and can testify that the TF lipliner stops any lipstick from migrating. I love the Lisa Eldridge lipsticks especially in the newest formula and Luxurious Lucent. Tom afford is my all-time fav and then the Dior addict Shine lippies. I have not tried all the ones you showed today though.

Thank you for your video! Been enjoying Chanel l'extrait and Valde lipsticks (former for comfort and latter for comfort and packaging). Valde is expensive and has limited shades, but is usually discounted at department stores (if they still carry the brand).

My new favorite lipstick is the Sarah Creal in Main Character. It’s an amazing formula and for me that shade is fantastic (things can go orange on me). Just love it and I want another one too. Also adore the Prada in Caramel and DVN in Cool Brown. Perfect 3 for fall/winter.
