I also highly suggest Greenley. It's a masterfully created scent. It's fresh and crisp but has such a rich depth to it, as well. It might be my favorite freshie.

It's a great opening and middle but the drydown is absolutely horrible with that heavy ambroxan base like with a lot of modern fragrances. It's smells really chemical. They sacrificed the beauty of the scent for performance. You can't really make a light green/violet fragrance last that long but people won't spend too much money if it doesn't have performance so the perfumer was "forced" to compromise I reckon. Would like to see this fragrance re-worked but considering how I'm one of the few that complains I don't see it happening. In the discovery set this was the only one I really liked which is a shame.

This year I'm going to be investing in a lot of discovery sets instead of blind buys. I feel I have a very particular taste when it comes to fragrances and don't like many of the stable must haves. I didn't like Layton it gave me a medicinal/Vicks medicine feel and could never get the whole apple pie smell everyone mentions. Tf beu de jour was just not my thing. Cedroit besoise was just too synthetic and off putting for me. Terra d Hermes was also too strong for me but funny enough intense vetiver I loved. I have also loved the one and all it's flankers, la Nuit de l homme/ le parfum/blue electrique. Spice bomb, wanted by night. So it's a mixed bag but I seem to think my taste land in line with more spicier middle eastern type of scents.

You should give Versace Eros Flame a go. Very oriental style and very nice. Citrus heavy and spice heavy and settles down beautifully, it's an EDP as well so it's got good substance =P

TF Grey Vetiver is indeed office friendly and is as easy as it gets when it comes to being a Vetiver scent. PDM Greenley is a freshie with staying power which maybe a more sophisticated Nautica Voyage with depth.

Lucky for my wallet, I already own all of these, except the first one. Greenly is a stand-out pick. I give it a lot of wear in the spring and early summer. I really like the unique fragrance and it pulls a TON of complements. Being the winter right now, I'm wearing Luminous Night often and it's another complement magnet. A unique scent, for sure.

Its my favorite winter scent! I was saving it till I found online on a canadian website that shipped here. Then I got 2 more! It was for $115 each. I smell sweet dates and something herbal like basil or mint. Its VERY UNIQUE (unless everyone buys it). I have tons of nice niche ones but for the last 2 years this has become my fav. But each to its own cause my brother or gf don't like it that much.

@@migracing8232 No need to get so defensive, man. I love Spicebomb equally and in fact I have them all, including SB Fresh and the NV EDT. All I meant to say is the boozy note in MiB makes it slightly more sophisticated, no necessarily better or worse. If you don't like that boozy note, that's fine too. PdM's Herod or Initio's Rehab are pretty much niche versions of SB and even then, I don't think they're necessarily better in every way. To each their own, as long as it's done in mutual respect.

Great video as always. Greenley and Kalan were nice but I really did not like Pegasus (and I like vanilla). It smelled stale and completely artificial/chemical. That said, based on my experience with PDM so far, there's no way I would spend the money compared to other options out there.

I like Pegasus but don't love it. Glad I got the smaller bottle cause it won't be a rebuy. I heard from a few people that didn't like Pegasus that Pegasus Exclusif is awesome. Layton is great and Carlisle is pretty nice.

Have you tried Kajal Homme II? It's kinda more masculine take on the same concept. I like Erba Pura, but it feels a bit feminine, I'd go for Homme II any day.

Do not blind buy Dior Sauvage Elixer. It is very, very potent and overpowering for most average person. It smells nothing like the original. It is very expensive, so make sure you test it first.

I bought the 100ml bottle of sauvage elixir and it will last me so long, the performance is insane, you should never over spray it, it's really expensive but the 60ml bottle would last as long as a 100ml bottle of something else.

15 minutes after the first time I put Elixir on and went in public I was at the gas station holding the door for a guy walking behind me and he said damn you smell good and I said thank you. As I was leaving I had to walk past him and he was like whoa and then we both just smiled and laughed. I never got a compliment that fast from a fragrance before even though it was from another guy not that that makes a difference to me.

All of the Dubai exclusive's for The One are worth the money..Royal Nights is what a niche version of the original would smell like..deep,rich and what everyone wishes the newer batches were like..Mysterious Nights is a jammy rose and oud over a base of the o.g. DNA and Luminous Nights sillage with the rich ambery sugary insense..probably some of the best ever out of the Dolce and Gabbana house

It’s like that sometimes. Most PDMs play it fairly safe, but some Tom Fords are edgy. I love Black Orchid, for instance, but it’s too odd to recommend. Ombré Leather is my everyday work fragrance but a lot guys find it too floral. Noir Extreme smells like a 1980’s synthwave fever dream, but my girl goes feral for it.

I smelled Tobacco Vanille off paper. I don’t know if it’s the way it reacts on paper or something, anyway, I hated it, it smelled like old fruit gone bad. One of the worst fragrances I’ve ever smelled. I’m betting on skin it smells better, it can’t be that disgusting, it just doesn’t make sense. Not that I would try it on my skin tho…

I was looking into getting a creed santal but I tried it in a sample and I find that the powdery kind of scent is too overpowering. It smells fresh which I like and would prefer for summertime but I got nothing woody or spicy. Really liked GIT and I might get it for spring now. Any recommendations for another one for summer? I also would love to try aventus cologne or viking cologne for summer and maybe a more affordable designer that reminds me of being at the beach while working in the summer haha. But I have read they usually don’t have great performance

TF TV is more a vanilla fragrance, than a tobacco one. Herod is also heavily focused on vanille, so maybe it's the sweetness of vanille that turns them off.

Hi, I own 8 PDMs so I might have some advice for you. I’d probably start with Layton or Perceval. Pretty easy wears with great quality. If you prefer darker/fall/winter scents I’d checkout Herod or Carlisle. My personal favorites are sedly, Herod and Layton

Beware of reformulations! I own recent batches of Layton and Herod, and I wouldn't recommend them due to the weak performance. Out of recent releases, I own Kalan and Pegasus Exclusif, which have good performance, and as far as I know, haven't been reformulated yet. All the other bottles I own are older, so I can't tell how they perform nowadays.

I'm looking to order a super long lasting and projecting cologne for summer vacation. I ordered samples of Sicily and Lemon Mint hoping they're nuclear like Red Tabacco. Red Tabacco is actually so strong that I had to take my sweat shirt off and sit away from it cause it was projecting so strong, it got annoying. But if I would've let my shirt sit on the porch to air out before leaving I would've been fine. If Sicily or Lemon Mint is too much I'll just stick with ole reliable...
