Other book recs: Series: If you’re in middle school, Gallagher girls, the princess diaries, maximum ride. For super popular ones, the hunger games, Harry Potter, the lord of the rings. The Agatha Christie books are soooo good and I read most of them in middle school. They’re really interesting mysteries and the setting is the early 20th century in England. Other books: If you’re young, my diary from the edge of the world is super good and any fairytale books by E.D. Baker. Classics like Jane Austen books and Jane Eyre are pretty good.

*Book recommendations by Asian authors!* -Girls of paper and fire by Natasha Ngan (look up tw’s, it’s sapphic fantasy) -The poppy war by R.F. Kuang (there’s a lot of tw’s for this, it’s fantasy inspired by the Chinese civil war and the second sino japanese war, also talks a lot about imperialism and colonialism) - An ember in the ashes by sabaa tahir (lookup tw’s) ya fantasy, you’ll love Elias sm -Wicked fox by kat cho (inspired by Korean mythology and reads like a k-drama) - A pho love story by Loan Le, it’s not out yet and it comes out in exactly a week! (Vietnamese rom-com) -These violent delights by Chloe Gong (ROMEO AND JULIET RETELLING!! but make it a 1920’s Shanghai setting with a hint of fantasy)

For younger readers, (10-15) I REALLY RECOMMEND the Twisted Tale series books. It's basically a twist on all your classic Disney stories. Please, the plot twists are AMAZING! The twisted tale series has twists on Mulan, Hercules, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, and uh I can't remember the restt 😭✋ The books in the series have their separate titles from the actual disney stories so I'll give you them. 'So this is love' (Cinderella twist) 'Tale as old as time' (beauty and the beast twist) 'Unbirthday' (Alice in Wonderland twist), 'Once upon a dream' (sleeping beauty twist) 'Reflection' (Mulan twist) AND MY FINGERS REALLY HURT SO SEARCH UP TWISTED TALE SEIRIES AND THE REST WILL BE THERE SORRY 💀😭 I also recommend 'The Midnight Unicorn' and 'The Evil Unicorn' it's a duo, the midnight unicorn comes first. I also really recommend 'The Inspector Calls' and 'The Great Gatsby'. OH, and also for young readers, 'Cinderella is Dead' yes it sounds very morbid. 'The Slade House' and 'The Woman in the Window' are my favourite creepy/eerie books by far! My fingers are worn to the bone help.

I just started reading again after like 2 years. When I was a kid I would read so much and when I was in middle school I could read a novel almost every day. Since I stopped reading, I genuinely felt myself getting stupider. My favorite genre is mystery, My favorite series is probably Harry Potter (duh), my favorite book is the book thief, and my most recent is the woman in cabin 10 by Ruth Ware (I finished it last night after reading for 2 days and it was so good).

Loveboat, Taipei is really good! It's about this girl who wants to be a dancer but she's asian and her parents want her to go into the medical field. She also knows nothing about her culture so her parents send her to this program (IN THE SUMMER!) where she learns more about her culture but then she meets a boy and then yeah you probably know where it goes from there LOL I'm probably not doing the book justice because of my explanation but I didn't wanna give spoilers by accident ;)
