I like that this is just calmly talking about a topic and not going overboard with like purposely trying to be triggering. I feel like there's a dip in quality where the more people TRY to "trigger" the viewer, the worse it is, until you reach the other side where there's a select few who are good at that.

39:22 Sorry for being that person, but this is such a severe and common misconception (through no fault of the general public, mind you) that I feel compelled to correct it whenever I see it. The reason electrons seem to "know" when they're being observed is very simple: the observation itself changes the state of the electron. An "observation" here comes from some kind of detector, which is very different from, say, a camera. Normally, by "observation" we mean detecting photons which bounce off things (that's how we see), but photons can't bounce off electrons, so they use some other mechanism, and every detection in turn affects the electron itself. EDIT: sorry for the misinformation, photons indeed can scatter off of electrons, but that's besides the point as that's not how the detectors work. And besides, a photon interacting with an electron will change its state too.

Mag-Lev trains are "levitated" above a track of magnets. The current changes the polarity of the magnet in front of the train's magnets, drawing the train towards the oppositely charged electromagnet. Then, as the train moves towards it, the polarity is switched, and the electromagnet of the train and the track are the same, and they repel one another, keeping the train levitating. So, at all times, the train is both being dragged forward and down towards the track while then being repelled by the same magnets with a switched polarity. They can go VERY fast. Great sound and very interesting content.

Thank you so much for your ASMR you do a great job. Someone probably already answered this, but a maglev train is a train that is magnetically levitated. Hence the word maglev is short for magnetic levitation. It's a concept that's been around for a very long time. If you magnetically levitate and move a train with magnetism the only friction that you have is the air. That's why they want to do maglev trains in tunnels that have no air in them. You could go as fast as you wanted to. I do suggest one thing, to get a pop filter/screen for your mic. ASMR is amazing and that will even make it that much better. Keep up the great work!

I’m a naval scientist and an avid cyclist . The bicycle thing is easy. The gyroscopically generated forces overwhelm any other forces that may apply -like 90-10. These guys at Cornell sound like “climate scientists “ begging for grant money. The fork angles and the tire size the distance between tire hubs all play a role but they’re so small they mainly impact cyclist comfort and don’t really impact uprightness OR the millions of different designs would vary in performance wildly and they just don’t. He was right about handlebars but the speed had to be very fast such that the cyclist is risking his health. That’s because the gyroscopic effects are just massive. The handlebar design again doesn’t affect much but cyclists comfort.
@nicktronson29774 ай бұрын
Wrong. The degree angle by which the gyroscopical incursion divides itself amongst the centrivical extremeties causes the infraction of the motion of the ocean due to the devotion of a chameleon exurting it's ovulation amongst the nation of creation.

If glass telescope mirrors are made too big and thick the glass will deform under its own weight, it's not noticeable to the human eye but the instrument's will see it. That's why they use a bunch of small mirrors on humongous telescope's like the GMT or Keck observatory instead of one massive glass mirror. There's other reasons for making segmented mirrors but It also just plain sucks to move huge mirrors for maintenance and stuff 😅

For the bike riding one, could it be that bicycles are essentially “falling forward” while the wheels maintain gyroscopic vertical stability? The Earth is round, and gravity being a pull to its central location, it makes sense to me that as a bike goes forward it would be infinitesimally closer to the gravitational center of Earth. Friction of the wheels and air resistance being the forces which cause this “falling forward” to stop. Like throwing a flat, circular plate, this plate would stay upright because of spinning, but would perform an arc-shaped path forward. I wonder if bicycles operate like that? Satellites in orbit are essentially operating in a perpetual fall state, lacking the friction against the surface of the Earth, and mostly lacking an atmosphere to slow them, I think bicycles on Earth operate within the same paradigm of forces as satellites do in space but with the variables of friction and atmosphere causing the bicycle resistance enough to eventually “land” or “stop falling forward”

Quantize thermodynamics and never forget this about thermodynamics: S never increases for a closed system, say like the whole universe, it is delta S in open systems that tends to increase. Now if they could do something like that dynamic Casimir effect with gluons or quarks... I think we'd need a very special synthetic aperture system that could act as a gravitational waveguide to create something like hydrogen from "nothing."
