Teach your kids to pick up after themselves. If they can walk, they can clean up. You are doing them an enormous service by teaching them how to do stuff, while they are very small. When they are older, it won't be so difficult for them. I wish - badly - someone had done it for me.
@TiidiiLivingwithSabrina3 жыл бұрын
I agree, that is what I am trying to do now with my toddler. Even with small things ie: When we're finished reading a book I ask him to put it back on the shelf before taking another one out. And wen the play area starts to get cluttered I say "ok, time to clean up, please help mommy clean up"

🥳💪🏻 You can do this! I am on my journey, too. And I recently came across the concept of the "Silent To-Do List" by a Japanese author. Dawn from the Minimal Mom shared it, it was a life-changer for me. This list means that every item in your house gives you a job you don't write down, "store me", "dust me", "look at me", "put me away", etc. All things kind of talk to us that way and demand our energy/attention. Me imagining that my clutter talks to me that way made me want to get rid of it immediately. 😄 Before I had more problems letting go, but not anymore.

Yass! I have adopted a lot of these habits, soooo good! My house takes like 5-10 minutes tops, to have ready for a visit from the Queen lol and everyone does their part, my daughter is about to turn 17 on Friday, my little boy is 10 with global developmental delays, so he's still developmentally like a 5-6 year old, and he unloads/reloads the dishwasher, puts his toys away, tidies his bedroom, puts his washing away, and makes his own bed! And yes, of course, we do it together, that is key! When teaching my kids when they were little, like around 1-2 years old, I always had them help me tidy up their toys and put their laundry in their drawers etc... so by the time they were old enough to do it themselves, they knew exactly how to do it, and where everything went.
