Keep your voice up! He's not yelling, y'all. He's Australian! He's genuinely enthusiastic. You can easily turn down your volume. I'd rather have him funny and excited, than a monotone low-talker where my volume can't be loud enough.

Yeah sometimes I see him do something and I think, "Oh yeah he's definitely an Aussie!" He's not yelling, and is genuinely enthusiastic. He also says in a couple of videos how much he loves making these videos which reinforces the enthusiastic point. Heaps of people are like that here and you wouldn't see people accusing them of trying to adapt their personality to suit 'kids'. He's only a year older than me and I can get just as enthusiastic as that about things I love, even being an introvert.

Okay, so I keep seeing a lot of comments about Wood yelling, and that this is a new thing. I only just started watching this channel so I guess this is the only delivery style that I am familiar with. However, I didn’t want those “yelling” reviews to deter people from watching and subscribing. It doesn’t feel like yelling to me, it feels like enthusiasm. Some people also said that they think the enthusiasm seems fake, but I don’t get that vibe. I really love these videos, especially because it is so difficult to find good (and enthusiastic) Switch game reviews. Keep up the good work Wood!

Nothing wrong with making these lists, they're great! See, if I may be allowed a criticism of the Switch Eshop, it's not great for finding games that aren't recent. We're almost 1.5 years into the system's lifespan and the Eshop lacks both a "genre categories" section and a user rating system. Nintendo said at one point they want 20-30 indie games per week (never going to happen unless they want to really grab some of the drivel that winds up on Steam, but still) but that means good games will get buried until the Eshop is easier to navigate. But great recommendation lists like yours help to lessen this issue (which will hopefully be fixed soon), so kudos to you, man!

I got Shovel Knight since it was on sale and I very much enjoyed it. Though it did get really hard and frustrating towards the end :P It was my first time playing and I recommend it to anyone who hasn't played it already.

Thank you for posting these eShop videos. (Just finished all 9 of them.) I bought a Switch about 3+ weeks ago and have been going through the eShop library for some time checking out what's worth/not worth buying. (I'm also a frugal gamer who, when I see a price point that I cannot agree on, will simply add to my wishlist and wait for a sale.)

I was so surprised by Kingdom: New Lands this year. It's been out a while and is available on mobile, but it's so good and ridiculously addictive! I meant to put it down and sleep a few times, but ended up seeing the sunrise a few times playing it. It's so much better and deeper than it looks.

I love these video's but I have a suggestion. I've thought about buying eshop games multiple times and forgot what you had to say about them. So I search KZbin for the video where you talk about the game but that isn't always so easy. Here's my suggestion: Put all the games in the description (not just a couple) so people can find your video's by searching for those games. I think YT looks at the description regarding search words, but I might be wrong :P. Love the video's, keep doing what you're doing! :D

Hey, idk if you'll see this, but I recommend Late Shift so much. It's 12 or so dollars on switch, and it's a movie but you can choose some actions. It sounds boring but the acting (there's no CGI or anything) is great and the plot is pretty good.

Rohan Khan Bayonetta 2. You get both Bayonetta 2 and a download code for Bayonetta 1 if you get a new physical copy. All the Mario games are pretty good. There's also indie games like Hollow Knight, Dead Cells, and Enter the Gungeon if you're looking for something a little less expensive. Pokemon Quest is free and will keep you entertained for pockets of a time. There's more good games out there but that's all the games I recommend for a new Switch owner. I just got mine 2 weeks ago
