A good tip I got (Ian.... The Love of Caravans), to save your awning carpet from pressure from Your steps, drill 4 holes through each leg and get a set of corner steady pads, then attach! Good tips are worth nicking......!

Been meaning to purchase Colapz waste pipes for ages. Setting up and packing away the standard grey waste pipe is like wrestling with a coiled spring 😠 Our caravan is full of storage boxes, couldn’t do without them. Another good informative Dave 👍 Best Regards Rob

Thanks Rob, I must say I’ve found them to be good. Most I’ve had to use at any one time is three on a full service pitch in Scotland. Worth the investment. Thanks for watching, ATB Dave & Helen 👍

Tip when filling Aquaroll: Don't take the handle off and ill from the top. Roll up to the tap etc and fill in the side. Saves all of the hassle of taking the handle off and putting it back on a full and heavy tank. Big bonus - its costs nothing!

Some good tips, 2 of my own here, both simple. 1) Buy some reusable cable ties, Aldi often sell them, they look like normal cable ties, but have a release lever allowing you to unthread them and reuse infinite times. I use them for coiling 10m hookup lead, coiling my fresh water hose for service pitches and even use one on my ALKO hitch handle to stop my 13 core car to caravan lead, dragging on the road. 2) Carry a small sqeezy bottle of Graphite Powder. This is to keep your locks on your caravan lubricated, don't use oil, it attracts dirt and can cause more damage over time. Use on all external locks and hatch locks including the toilet. Also use on wheel and hitch locks which are more exposed to rain. I find putting a small amount on the key and working it into locks, works better than trying to "blow" it in bybsqueezing the bottle. Cheap on Amazon or Ebay and don't forget your car locks either. Hope those are of help.

Hi Graham, like those very much, especially the graphite powder one, not heard of that before. Thanks very much for those 2 clever tips. ATB, Dave & Helen

Just a note on using a drill for the steadies Don't use a powerful drill in full power with the clutch off it can break your arm! Just ask my wife!

Top tip , don’t put the waste water hose into the side hole of the wastemaster.
@HelenandDave Жыл бұрын
Interesting comment, why is that?
@scotiajinker8392 Жыл бұрын
@@HelenandDave you loose about 2ltrs of space by using the side hole rather than the top one. Just in case you don’t know , another tip is when emptying the wastemaster by standing on its end is to loosen the cap nearest you to vent the air out, the dirty water comes out quicker .
@HelenandDave Жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment. I sometimes find I have to use the side hole because on occasion the top hole is too high and the water cannot flow. Love the tips though, thanks again, cheers, Dave & Helen 👍
