I like how the lady presenter expresses with gestures towards the camera while also looking at the other presenter as he is talking in balanced way. Very natural, as if viewer was just another person in room they were talking to. So many other presenters struggle with this and come off awkward.

Saint Julep is one of the two Imaginary Authors frags I decided to buy full bottle (Yesterday Haze is the other) after surveying the house's samples. Saint Julep is a nice, fresh, springtime light mint unisex frag. It's inspiration is the traditional southern drink - the unofficial drink of the Kentucky derby the Mint Julep.

Hows the performance?
@JT-rx1eo2 жыл бұрын
@@bobarvianto5550 Saint Julep, truthfully not the best performance. But mint is one of the most volatile notes. Yesterday Haze performance is better.

I dont think that they've ever smelled intense cafe because the coffee note is almost the lightest note in there and its only noticeable in the opening. Its mainly a rose and vanilla fragrance

You're always making very informative and creative videos for perfume enthusiasts. This is also a nice list for niche beginners. May I add one, Amouage-Reflection Man.
@BaldassarreFragrance2 жыл бұрын
Great fragrance. We were hesitant to mention Amouage since they are not the easiest to wear. Reflection Man is among their more wearable scents though for those looking to get started with the brand.

Creed’s Love In Black was my gateway fragrance into the niche world. My husband’s all time favorite fragrance from my collection is Bull’s Blood by Imaginary Authors. It is a dirty rose and patchouli with a bloody, metallic note. It’s soooo sexy. Really like the Imaginary Authors.

@@Alithia451 i respect your opinion but like it or not this one is one of the most hyped from this house, i'm agree with you but to be fresh it has good quality and last long on my skin more than 9 hours something very difficult to see in a fresh fragrance, also reminds me the old version of Abercrombie and Fitch Fierce! Be safe.

Great recommendations as usual. From all these I started with Cedrat Boise...which I didn't really like at first(being only used to freshies) but I gave it a chance and smelled it again after 2-3 days...now I can't imagine not having this in my small collection. Choosing the fragrances for the contest was great fun, really enjoyed that. Good luck to everyone and have a great rest of the day!

I think a really interesting series to do would be to do more videos where you pick a specific note (like your tobacco fragrances video) and pick your favourites, eg. Best iris / boozey / vetiver fragrances.

Parfums De Marly Percival was the first niche fragrance I bought. I like it a lot. I have the first iteration. Having smelled the newest version, I dread the day that my own runs out. Don´t get me wrong, the new version is still great, but I like the bolder, more zesty version a lot more. (But I do understand that it was a little less accessible for the mass market.) Also, debating if I´m going to buy PDM's Herod or Carlisle for the winter time.
@RaulPerez12 жыл бұрын
I have both Herod and Carlisle are great for the fall winter time. I find Herod more for casual or dressed up casual. Carlisle feels more dressed up suit tie or sports coat/no tie type vibe.

Imaginary Authors is as niche as you can get. Cobra and the Canary is about a guy finding his deceased dad's 1964 Shelby Cobra in a barn and going on a joyride. It smells like axle grease and sweet perfume. Don't over spray if you don't want to feel like sulfur is burning your eyes. Whispered Myths smells like an old oaken barrel from a shipwreck, Cambodian oud with aquatic and floral notes. Seems most of these AI unisex perfumes mix traditionally masculine and feminine notes, leaving you wondering "what the heck is that?" You won't find these on the counter.

@@christophertrent869 Well most of them are light "freshie" scent profiles, but even given that, some of them last, like EROLFA. And some have "sneaky" longevity, like Virgin Island Water. One of their more substantial, least thin and light scent profiles, Bois du Portugal, lasts all day.
@christophertrent8692 жыл бұрын
@@JT-rx1eo I own a couple bottles and they are great no doubt about it but they just do not last on my skin. I find myself having to overspray. I just like a little more bang for that $400+ price tag.
@thecuttinggardener3612 жыл бұрын
There are ones that last a long time, but they tend to be darker, less floral/fresh. Love in Black, Royal Oud, Bois du Portugal have pretty good longevity. My husband wears Taberome, and it has pretty good longevity though not as long as some of his other ones.
