What are some lesser-known traits of being an ISTP? Let me know below.

#10. Being Ti hero, it's hard to explain thoughts and overall express what's on the mind.

I always wonder what being a Ti is like compared to Ni

INTP with a lot of INTJ friends: T(i) is constantly testing the logical consistency of your own thoughts and ideas. In my case, it is a non-stop thing where N(e) keeps bringing new ideas, new links, and T(i) breaks it apart. N(i) seems to work like how electricity or water finds a path of least resistance. You see your end-goal and your mind seems to constantly be looking out for the most efficient way to get the result you want. Each new possibility gets observed, tested, as a potential shortcut. So one goes: Is it true? Does it make sense? What does it mean? The other: Does it leads me where I want to? How efficient it is?

ISTP woman here. As a kid I wouldn’t be caught dead crying in front of anybody. But now I’m a lot more open and expressive and I cry a lot and don’t feel embarrassed anymore if I cry in front of someone (usually). Love physical touch with significant other. But not so much with other people. Fe Heroes are annoying AF I love NP types.

That’s good you found away to release your emotions. I agree Fe heroes can be a lot

Oh... thanks for sharing the traits of another weird personality (we are all weirds) It's really strange & immature when a person has a 3rd function non developed. - Laugh about the persons who express their Fi with authenticity and serious. (for the immatures ones) - Difficulties to imagine/visualize (Ne blind)

Well, THIS just opens a new can of worms- so many of these ideosyncracies are so like me (the lack of trust in doctors for one) but also the INFJ traits. I know the functions are shared (which would create some similarities), but with the Ni/Ti and Fe/Se transposed- I know I use these functions, but how to know in which order? and how would attachment trauma likely affect the order? Would you please, please please...PLEASE...:D ...do a side-by-side comparison of the similarities and differences between INFJ and ISTP functions? I'm so cornfused!

This was fun to watch. ISTP's can mistype as INTJ's, because they are introverted and thinkers, and some can be very proficient on Ni usage. I think that ISTPs use Ni more conservatively, but in a more specifically focused way, having Ti in dominant position, Ni comes in just in the moment when it can serve a relevant, practical or utilitarian purpose. Also ISTP's tend to be more individualistically self-aware/own way than INTJ, because their extraverted judgement is lower than the INTJ, who will be more conscious of protocol. So yeah, the rule following stuff was relevant.

It was fun to make, just took a lot more time. They can be mistaken for INFJs as well seeing they are in the same Quadra. Thanks for watching

I don’t think ISTJs are very socially awkward, once they settle on a way of being that works for them. When they are confronted with new situations or people that are out of their comfort zone, they can seem out of sorts though.

They can be a little rough around the edges with Fe trickster, but Si helps them navigate better then some types for sure
