This is late era Neil Young, i think in the sixties and seventies Neil and the others were living not in their minds but in a tremendous creative wave that eventually crested and broke.That was the golden age of music that meant something too. They were living the dream dangerously on the edge.

Neil is one smart cookie. I was startled to hear George Harrison didn't like Neil's music. George said he didn't like Neil's voice. George Harrison was my favorite Beatle when they were the Beatles but I hated when George evolved into the my sweet lord Hare Krishna marshmallow meltdown. Huge Beatle fan here. But anyways, like what you like man, but listen to Ragged Glory, Chrome Dreams II and Psychedelic Pill someday and you won’t regret it. What I love about him is his passion. Always plays as though it's the final performance. Saw him at Hammersmith London years ago, an hour of solo acoustic, then two and half of stunning electric, plus his very dry humour.

@@judsonh1949 Yes and no probably. Most of the time you’re absolutely right. But artists like Dylan and The Beatles did a ton of takes, so many takes 😒…., to get their songs to what they thought were perfect. The proof shows that those songs are timeless and that persistence paid off. They might’ve still been timeless songs had they just stopped after take 3, but who knows haha.
